so can you download DLC without gold membership?

Yes you can. But you can`t play multiplayer unless you have a gold Membership. So you are basically forced to get one, if you want to get the perfect ending for the game. Its impossible to get a high enough ems if you don`t play multiplayer...

Yeah I have ME3 on my ps3. But I was planning on replaying ME2 with my ME1 save to see all the differences but I didn't want to if I couldn't access my the ME2 DLC ( I have ME2 with all the DLC on my PS3 also)

basically I've spent a fortune just on bioware games.

no not at all. i asked exactly how it was stated how BW would make it so that offline people would get it. and this answer was "pay online to get free dlc" see the problem? :)

I see your confusion.  Bioware HASN'T stated anything, yet.  They haven't even said that there will be any "ending DLC", free or paid.  They've only said that they are looking at initiatives to "clarify" the existing endings, and they will tell us more in April.  Whether that will be a just a patch or DLC has not been stated.  Whether it is free or paid has not been stated.

Now answer my question.  You are posting on an ONLINE forum.  How?

which is very sad and very true. I play MP but still, this should not be.

Who is we? You're online right now.

1/4 of players aren't online. my friend doesn't get online. alot of gamers don't because of the economy. most of my friends have been using my colleges' computers and stopped paying for TV. Cali its rough here.

but your friends got money for games and DLC....

He had an Xbox since it was released back in 2007 and he didn't get the DLC Prothean. He used his $60 for the game that was it for this year haha. Come to my part of Cali and see how the 10% tax makes you feel because politians don't know how to run money at all so they up the tax and think it fixes the problems

DLC means Downloadable Content. It doesn't mean Supplemental Content. Doesn't mean Addon Content. Doesn't mean Bonus Content.

DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT. It's mere name suggests that internet access is necessary to obtain it. It is the preferred content delivery system of both content providers and their consumers.

I absolutely refuse to argue the economic portion of your argument. If things were so dire then they have much better things to do than worry about video games. Like getting jobs.

You can buy it online, without having Gold membership, yes. But if you don`t pay for Gold, you can`t access the multiplayer features.

omg you are so ignorant. If he even went to my place and used my Xbox he still wouldn't be able to obtain online access and besides he would have to drive all the way here and back but he would also need to carry his account etc etc. are you really that blind on how xbox works? sorry i think you are just trolling.

If you're buying $65-70 games on $300+ consoles, you should be able to have an internet connection and Xbox Live/PSN/whatever.

have you ever thought he might of got an xbox back in 2007 and that it actually cost $60 for ME3? and that is all he paid for this year? na clearly you did because everyone buys a new xbox every year is your belief right? please think before you speak with assumption lol

dude, just tell us what you want to hear.. you want Bioware to personally ship you a disc copy for free. It aint ever ever going to happen, ever. Deal. once again. this isn't a "im yelling at you" this is "snap out of it"

seriously, What.. do you expect.

I have no gas how does work expect me to show up on time?
same exact stupid question.

also, get used to it. I mean really. sooner or later there wont even be retail disks anymore, it will all be steam/origin/whatever digital downloads. will keep production costs down and prices of games.

If you don't have internet... get it, or move. This is the digital age, plus aren't you on the internet right now?

I said no ignorant flame comments please. if you don't have anything nice to say then please be a good citizen and don't say anything :)

BTW 2 of my friends dont have online they dont use internet because they can't afford it they paid $60 for the full game now you are telling them during this economic time to go by a cable and pay for online to get a FREE DLC? ya wanna rethink that one smart one?

look no hard feelings here. this is not a flame...

"this economic time"?
look dude. if you cant afford a car. then get a bike.
if you cant afford a house, rent
if you cant afford food, you die
life sucks but if you cant afford internet to download DLC, then read a book.

once again not really a flame, this is just... life. Handouts rarely happen. Don't blame the economy, blame your low paying job.

may i ask where you work? :) btw how much do you give to orphans in 3rd world countries every year? Exactly. (yoda) greedy, you are.

So if my friend can't afford online he dies? haha please no more Marie Antoinette comments please. If you don't know you don't need to answer. no one is going to blame you that you don't have the answers.

Problematic. This seems like a bigger problem than the ending. How did offline users get other DLCs that had strong ties to the story such as LotSB and From Ashes? I imagine the solution varies from person to person.

Go to a friend's house who has internet.

I'm sure everyone has at least one friend with the internet.

Or you know you could like move the Xbox up to your router and connect it that way. TA-DA!

Alright, not it is just starting to look like you don't want an answer and you are just looking for a reason to get mad.  We don't even know if an ending fix will be free.  If it even comes for sure.  If it is free for online consumption than that's awesome, and there should be a way to get online.  If there is absolutly no way to get online and they provide another way to get this DLC then YES it will probably cost money.  But it will be cheaper than the internet connection that you would pay for to download it for free.

You can't expect it to be free in this situation you have created where you have no way to get online at all.  It's just not realistic.  So once again your options for getting this DLC should it come out are the following.

1) Find a way to get an internet connection to download it.

2) Hope that it comes released in a disk form and purchase it from a store.

ya and i stated both of those are horrible answers for a Free DLC you say either way they have to pay for it lol. Listen little guy i know you think you know all the answers but you don't because you see not everyone is rich and can afford thing that you ask you parents to buy and if you don't know the answer to the question then you dont have to answer it and make yourself look foolish :D

Jessica Merizan said in tweets that Bioware would like to put all upcoming DLC on discs. But if they do that, then it wont be "FREE" it cost money to do that. digital downloads are dirt cheap to supply. by HAVING to include disc cost for you, you up the price on us non disc users

so you are saying my friend's $60 doesn't get him the full game? Awesome

no you may not.
and because I can afford internet, I am greedy. Typical occupy wallstreet bull****. I earn my way. I dont need to be insulted becuase i have what you have not.

So if my friend can't afford online he dies?

not even a little close to what i said bro.
i was trying to show you comparative statements. you are asking a question that aparently does not have a happy answer for you. So stop looking for one and face the facts. No internet means possibly no DLC. Im sorry for you, really. but i cant help you.

If your having trouble getting a job then maybe you should be using that $60 for food or gas and not on a game? Just a thought.

As far as OP goes I used to have dial up when I lived in the countryside. Before they upgraded it to DSL I just went to a friends to download things. With a PC if it works like anything like the ME 2 DLC just download on friends PC, put on thumbdrive, then take home install. after install activate with dialup. Though if you bought for PC you had to have online to install it.

If you dont have atleast dial up then...um...how are you on these forums? :wizard:

If your friend is playing it on an xbox, he will also have to pay a monthly subsrciption for a gold Membership, in order to play the multiplayer bit. Wich is something he will have to do if he wants to get a high enough EMS to get the perfect ending.

Pay for a disc that has DLC on it. It'll probably happen. If you can't afford that then you have bigger issues than figuring out how to play games.
