no not at all. i asked exactly how it was stated how BW would make it so that offline people would get it. and this answer was "pay online to get free dlc" see the problem? :)

I see your confusion.  Bioware HASN'T stated anything, yet.  They haven't even said that there will be any "ending DLC", free or paid.  They've only said that they are looking at initiatives to "clarify" the existing endings, and they will tell us more in April.  Whether that will be a just a patch or DLC has not been stated.  Whether it is free or paid has not been stated.

Now answer my question.  You are posting on an ONLINE forum.  How?

Again clearly you haven't read. i am asking this for friends that don't have online. you will understand the money alot better when you go to college where alot of people aren't as fortunate. over 2 million gamers are offline players and all i said was you answer are pretty much saying "to get free DLC you must pay for online see the problem?"

My friends use our college computer labs to post online when we are finished with our work that is how 2 of my friends who are offline. there are alot on here that are offline players if you read carefully as you see they are offline but are posting on here.

If you're buying $65-70 games on $300+ consoles, you should be able to have an internet connection and Xbox Live/PSN/whatever.

have you ever thought he might of got an xbox back in 2007 and that it actually cost $60 for ME3? and that is all he paid for this year? na clearly you did because everyone buys a new xbox every year is your belief right? please think before you speak with assumption lol

Also just for reference I bought my 360 entirely using trade in value I'd built up over the years (including from trading in my original xbox and ps2 and a relatives wii) I also bought the first Mass Effect (3 years after it came out) with that. Then I bought ME2 about 6-7 months after it came out for like 40 bucks. So all in all I've only spent about 40 bucks out of pocket for the 360 and two games, and they're the only games I own for it. I only bought it to play bioware games.

Basically every game I buy I buy using trade in credit, I play it nonstop for like 2-3 weeks and then trade it back in rinse, wash, repeat. And I always follow gamestop for when they have the buy 2 used get one used free deals because I can trade the used games back in+ the free used one and end up getting similar total value.

seriously, your trollin, maybe not on purpose but. the above statement is misguided and childish in every way. Go back to your occupy movement to see if you can protest your way into getting things companies spend money on for free.

Also Speaking at someone that lived out in the country with crap dial up for a long time till I could use DSL, your "friend" needs to deal with life. Living out in the country was nice. Clean air, no noise, no stupid people. But I had to deal with trade offs. Picking up food was a 15 min drive and yes, had to deal with crappy dial up. I also had to deal with not having a job for awhile, and when that happened I did not spend $60 (in my case $80, I got collectors...) that could be spent on gas for job searches and such.

I wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't for reading some of the reply's about your 'friend'

He had an Xbox since it was released back in 2007 and he didn't get the DLC Prothean. He used his $60 for the game that was it for this year haha. Come to my part of Cali and see how the 10% tax makes you feel because politians don't know how to run money at all so they up the tax and think it fixes the problems

I lived in california for years, Was born in Ventura.  Now I live in Connecticut... its not much cheaper here.

That being said im sure there are plenty of people in Cali with internet. Ask them thier economic secrets. Its probably get a job and don't spend all your money on weed.

oh because im a college student you are going to assume im a pothead haha wow i love the insults. and no there is really no jobs open. Im not looking but my 2 friends that are offline have been and really there is NOTHING and most of these people online are kids where their parents pay for it and then others are just lucky they still have their jobs after the collapse. almost 10% sales tax now over here. wanna move back? :) No one has the simple luxury of moving when they are just affording to get by and the find out their money they rightfully paid for didn't give them the full game and that they need to pay more. i can definitely see bioware is going to lose alot of said for next game series they start like KoR because of problems like this.

If the DLC is free then the easiest way to get it to people who, Bizarrely, Don't have an Internet connection for their xbox would be to simply make the patch freely available over the Internet for whatever console.

Then use a USB stick or something to get it to your Xbox.

If you can't find a place to access the Internet for free or cheap, nor can you find a USB stick for free or cheap then...what the hell, man? Have you just appeared from the 18th century?

I get that, I have a friend in pretty much the same situation, usually he takes his xbox to his parents house, buy the DLC and that's it. So grab you xbox go to a friend and buy it.

And yes it's the 20th century, I'm always blown away when people say they don't have an internet connection. There are cheaper alternatives albeit slower they will get the job done, eventually.

that not even a flame dude.

its advice, he just gave you 3 solutions,, what more do you want?

oh yeah, the OP is meant as rhetorical...

omg you are so ignorant. If he even went to my place and used my Xbox he still wouldn't be able to obtain online access and besides he would have to drive all the way here and back but he would also need to carry his account etc etc. are you really that blind on how xbox works? sorry i think you are just trolling.

dude, just tell us what you want to hear.. you want Bioware to personally ship you a disc copy for free. It aint ever ever going to happen, ever. Deal. once again. this isn't a "im yelling at you" this is "snap out of it"

seriously, What.. do you expect.

I have no gas how does work expect me to show up on time?
same exact stupid question.

That isn't even a close example at all lol. anyways i am asking if you "know" or have a good idea that isn't going to screw with offline people and you are coming in saying "get into the 21st century" and "you have to pay for the free dlc". if you don't know it, won't hurt you if you don't answer. i don't expect anything but a reasonable answer. put urself in their shoes and see how it feels the be told that they should pull money out their Yoink! for something they already paid for.

Just some information that I don't see mentioned anywhere in this thread, but even if you do download the DLC to your 360...you have to have a connection to the internet EVERYTIME you load your game to verify the content.

So if you don't have a constant internet connection...I wouldn't worry about dragging your xbox over to a friend's with an internet connection.

So if my friend can't afford online he dies?

not even a little close to what i said bro.
i was trying to show you comparative statements. you are asking a question that aparently does not have a happy answer for you. So stop looking for one and face the facts. No internet means possibly no DLC. Im sorry for you, really. but i cant help you.

Hm...those who have consoles and can't get online for whatever reason; if they can't do it another way, they can connect their console to their PC and create a network via the PC itself to allow the console to get online. It's a bit of a hussle, and it's a really roundabout way to get things done, but it works!Once online, they can make a Live Account with the internet service of their console and get down to downloading! :)

Of course, we do need that DLC first, else no reason for anyone, online or offline to bother! :/

@Reef-Raider: That's rather odd and totally not true; I have a 360 and it doesn't need a constant internet connection to verify downloaded content; once downloaded, the content is accessible, whether the console is on or offline!

You will not get the DLC then. Case solved. The same with ME2 and the Cerberus Network. If you couldn't download them then you won't get it. Bioware did not release the Cerberus DLC as a physical disc either.

An internet connection is mandatory for ME3-PC anyway.

Ah, the great Liberal Lie.  There is no "fotune."  Your success or failure in life is solely your own responsibility.  If you're lazy and  make poor choices you will be poor and have a miserable life.  If you work hard and make good choices you will "can" have a good life.  There are lots of examples of people born into terribly poor families where they worked hard and studied hard and became a success.  It wasn't "fortune."  It was hard work.  The only people that talk about "fortune" are Liberals that want you to think that only the government can take care of you, or lazy losers that don't want to take responsibility for their own failures.

And I worked 40 hours a week while taking 12 to 15 hours of classes a semester Fall, Spring, and Summer for 4 years (changed majors completely mid way through) to get through college, and I still had internet access.

I do not want to derail the thread, but this is only partially true (mainly for those in the west). Most people on this planet can work as hard as they want and will still have a miserable life. The fate of most people is still decided by birth and not merit, as sad as that sounds.

But this has very little to do with the fact that he claims he cannot afford an internet connection if he has an Xbox and ME3. That just doesn't work for me ;)

how can you not have an internet to download a 500mb-1gb dlc? you already need internet to play mass effect 3 properly, for example, you need internet for readiness rating. its a very small group that cant download dlcs these days, i honestly dont think bioware cares, i know i wouldnt

like i said a few post back. this has become and "Occupy Bioware" thread. OP wants quality products for free.

OP, feel free to prioritise and say, internet is unaffordable to me. but you CANNOT feel free to get things without paying for them just because you make a sad case. I feel embarassed for you. You are showing everybody how real world ignorant you are.

with all due respect you know the only answer is this...

your real point of the thread was to get others to agree with you so you don't feel like the only one with no DLC.

no not at all. i asked exactly how it was stated how BW would make it so that offline people would get it. and this answer was "pay online to get free dlc" see the problem buddy o pal? :)

Jessica Merizan said in tweets that Bioware would like to put all upcoming DLC on discs. But if they do that, then it wont be "FREE" it cost money to do that. digital downloads are dirt cheap to supply. by HAVING to include disc cost for you, you up the price on us non disc users

so you are saying my friend's $60 doesn't get him the full game? Awesome

If your friend is playing it on an xbox, he will also have to pay a monthly subsrciption for a gold Membership, in order to play the multiplayer bit. Wich is something he will have to do if he wants to get a high enough EMS to get the perfect ending.

IKR haha i almost thought though they were goign to start doing stuff with the Kinect with cheevos and for special benefits because Bioware was so into it. glad only 1 achievement is MP i feel sry for my friends though. Luckily im giving up on gaming industries on new games. im finding my games to settle down with because these new games are throwing too many curve balls that are just ruining the fun in games. i only have one other game planned and thats H4 but im not getting started on anything else because in done with businesses and their questionable practices. to tell my friends they don't get the full game for $60, to me, is an insult. its like buying a car but have the car stripped and you have to pay the dealer more for stuff expected to be in a car.
