Because I was promised different endings.

Because it was heavily implied that an ending that included "marriage, lots of little blue children" would be possible.

Because I like Happy Endings. So sue me!

Because this game is that close to becoming a generation defining series.

Because Ive put countless hours into this game, not only playing, but in my work as well dealing with customers who are heartbroken due to the ending.

But it's not about happy endi...oh I give up. I could've sworn happy endings was the one thing people in the Retake Movement said they did NOT want.

Because the ending made me feel more violated than when my doctor told me to "talk dirty" during a prostate check.

So you have taken "one" individuals opinion and applied it to all of the Retake movement?
I want a happy ending, but not one of rainbows, I want to see my Shepard walk away to the applause of everyone that survived and for him to remind them he/she did not do it alone.

Trust me when I say if I had a nickle for everyone who's said that, I'd have...well, quite a few nickles. It isn't just one person's opinion. It's what the initial Retakers have claimed, not the bandwaggoners. Just stating facts.

After reading your post in another thread, I getting the feeling you are the life and soul of the party.

Hey, little more optimism good sir. Is until it is declared by someone from bioware (and not that stupid autoresponding twitter/facebook) that the horrifyingly bad is staying as it.

In response to the original post, I hold the line because I am someone who has a love of great stories and games. As I have come to expect both from this company, and have been led to believe that this is a place where feedback and critique are welcome, I feel it would be a disservice to Bioware if I did not let them know that in my opinion, the ending of ME3 does not live up to the standard of quality they otherwise presented both within the game and the series as a whole.

Mind you, I normally rely on email and physical letters for feedback in instances where I feel it would be warranted, but in this case, I've felt drawn to be here. Strange feeling, that.

I hold the line because I want Mass Effect to have a long, lasting, and great legacy.

As it stands now, the franchise is poised on the brink of dying a slow, painful death.

Iam holding the Line because of the non-epic, non-emotional ending that was shoved in our face in the name of art.

It's hard to see how BW can possibly provide an ending that will satisfy all the line holders. There are so many divergent expectations of what is hoped will be delivered that some sections of the retake club will never be happy with whatever appears. BW will be damned by some sections of the community whatever they do. As a pro-ender I just hope that the end result is an optional download and not an enforced patch.

There can be no real redemption or recovery from this, come on people. Be honest with yourselves. We are being taken advantage of. We have been duped..
It's one thing to be condescended to, but to be taken like this is something else entirely...
This is a great fail of a great game developer, their 'swan song', period...
:(

A better question to ask is do any of these people actually know HOW. Because you are all interpreting it in too many different ways. One of you says "We don't buy Mass Effect 3 DLC". Another says "We don't buy Bioware games". One guy even said "We don't play the Bioware games we already own".

Seriously, get your people in order.

Still waiting on this to get answered.

Do any of you have a clue?

Anyone at all?

How can one hold the line, unless they actually attack Anonymous-style? Just raging here, starting charities and talking about it everywhere doesn't seem like holding the line.

But yea - Mass Effect trilogy deserves better ending.

Because i feel the ending destroyed the series. After five years and over 150+ hours i feel that people deserve a chance of an ending worthy of the franchise an ending that we we're lead to believe we would receive, an ending that takes into account our choices. I and many others would like to be left with fond memories of the story, not to be left with what we have now.

YES! Finally the response I was waiting for!

That seems obvious. To everyone. But why fracture the group? Almost everyone wants the ending changed. Beyond that, different people want different things.

Instead of listening, BioWare should actively ask us about the new ending. Barring that, they should at least read as much as they can and take the path that makes the most people happy.
