Tried to find this with the search function but would not work for me.
I'm on my second playthrough (Soldier was the first) as a Sentinal, and just passed the derilect collector ship mission where you get to chose a weapon specialization. On my Soldier playthrough I'm pretty sure that's where I got the Widow rifle. On the sentinal playthrough I just got the crappy sniper rifle. Just wondering if I still can get the Vyper as a Sentinal, and where it is.
Already did the Shadow Broker mission as well.
When do you get the Vyper rifle?

You get the Viper during Thane's recruitment mission.

As Lekwid said, go get Thane. There's one on the floor where you have to fight a bunch of people and then get the cargo elevator up to the bridge - before you call the cargo elevator down turn and face directly away from it and then head slightly right of centre to where the last few enemies were coming from and you should find a bank of elevators down there with a Viper rifle and a couple of other goodies by one of them. If you miss that there's another one somewhere else, can't remember where, and if you miss that one as well I reckon Thane must come with it or something because I think you just get given it when you complete the mission.
