Okay, Koobarex, I have to ask. This has been eating at me quite a while now. Are you Patryk Garrett, the guy who does all that amazing Mass Effect fanart? Cause I have to say, your art styles look very, very similar if you aren't the same person. Not to say that Poland's a small country, but the art style mixed with location sends my conspiracy sense a-tingling.
Heh, nope, nothing to do with Patryk, though I've been a fan of his artwork for a while.

Excellent work Koobarex! Just read through this and it amazing. Great artwork, a fantastic story (maybe Bioware should hire you), and it really shows your care for the ME story. So kudos.
Caring is what I do best.

keep em coming, and john don't lock this thread instead please sticky it, it may calm down fans some more before we leave bioware for good.
Truth be told, if I include all the PM's and comments I've got on DA you've got to be ~50th person to say that these comics actually stopped you from leaving the ME universe. Kinda' proud of that. BioWare, we're holding the line here, please provide us with means to love your universe to the full extent of our hearts once again. Pretty, pretty please.

it would be kool if after the whole reaper threat is over Miranda is head of a new Cerberus and recalls it Anesidora. which now has ties with the alliance
Don't want to spoil the story for you, but...

Heh, nope, nothing to do with Patryk, though I've been a fan of his artwork for a while.I'm actually not a graphical artist myself, neither professionally nor do I consider myself to be one. Most of these comics - except for a few rare shots that took me a longer while to complete - are based on screenshots, royalty free photos, 3d models and textures, they were not painted from ground up but actually overpainted, painted over a skeleton of mish-mash elements I've put together to follow my scenario.
This is pretty cool. I actually thought so when I read through the comics. Anyway it's a cool technique that nicely catches the ME style. As I said, much more fitting than the official dark horse comics.

Will we get to see the Marauder himself again any time soon?

That's actually really impressive. Photo-manipulation on that level is pretty hard, so color me impressed.

My 3 favorites are the Tali, Garrus and Liara one, the Krogan one and the Javik/Vega comic.

But to date, my favorite strip is still the rendezvous between the Krogans and Kirrahe's STG regiment. Tradition enemies now standing side by side for Shepard. Inspiring.

Miranda has Reaper tech in her head. That is so cool. I'm so glad the writer of the comic feels so safe and secure enough to just change entire aspects of the lore to suit the needs of the comic. Fanfic, what we don't like we will change because it makes us feel better.
Actually, that wasn't my inention at all, Miranda doesn't have any Reaper tech on her, neither does Adam.

It may have a bit more sense if read back-to-back, perhaps it will all be clear after the next episode in her arc... Or so I hope. Kinda' makes sense when I look at it from the scenario-level perspective, may be a bit harder to get while it's still in the middle of the arc, divided into several episodes.
Right now, it stands like this: as we can learn from episode #11 Miri has survived a powerful blast of energy by pulling up her barriers and pouring all of her will and strength into keeping them up while the Destroyer's beam incinerated the area around her. Unfortunately, the attack - even if it lasted just a couple of seconds before the Destroyer continued on south, to get where we can see him in episode #16 - has left her almost completely blind, with her eyesight getting worse and worse...
She is then "captured" by Cerberus troopers, lead by Adam - a Cerberus special agent Miri seems to know pretty well (she actually saved his ass on a mission on Feros). She goes along with them, knowing that fighting a band of well armed and armored commandoes when blind = not the best idea. During their extraction - which comes to a stop when their transports are shot down from the sky by the Destroyer that blinded Miri earlier on (which is the same you can see Javik and James preparing against) - she manages to provoke Adam into revealing a bit of information that enables her to connect the dots and understand what the Anesidora protocol - which she has heard about while on Horizon/Sanctuary - is all about.
And while we're at it: Anesidora is a special safeguard protocol authorized by The Illusive Man that enables him to issue a signal activating the ocular flashbangs, blowing the brains out of every reaperized Cerberus soldier in the signal's range (which - knowing Cerberus' technology - is probably galaxy-wide). Additionally, which is not yet mentioned in the comic, it will incinerate all Cerberus-built laboratories that were classified as "Pandora-grade", which basically means "prone to indoctrination".
In this comic we only learn what Anesidora is all about, we don't actually see it go off (believe me, you'd known if it did) - the last shot shows us that Miri's blindness is actually progressing rapidly, leaving her at a horrible position in a war-torn London, captured by an elite Cerberus squad and lead to face The Illusive Man.
As I mentioned, this should have more sense when reading the whole arc back-to-back.

The latest installment is great. Intrigued by Miranda's lost of eyesight - wonder what that might lead to. Also, who is that Cerberus operative "Adam"? Can't seem to remember him from the games. I like the rendering of the Cerberus Assault armor.
Adam is an OC character, I needed someone to represent the views of the unreaperized part of Cerberus, someone to inform Miri about all of the organization's inner workings - so, a Scandinavian special agent owing Miri his life and having deep insight into all of Cerberus' recent operations seemed like a good idea.

Explains why he was suddenly speaking my language.
That last Jack one was really good. I liked Jack a lot more in 3 then I did in 2 and really enjoyed her as a teacher so this one had a great impact on me
Keep up the great work, Koobarex.

Koobarex, these are seriously incredible. You have provided a more emotionally cathartic and satisfying ending sequence in your comics than Bioware gave us by far. I've been checking for updates almost daily and get irrationally excited whenever I see you've uploaded a new comic. Beautifully written and drawn and I couldn't really ask for more. Please please keep up the great work!
Yep.
