That Catalyst made the Reapers as a solution to chaos. THAT'S IT. Not out of altruism. Not out of a protective instinct. These things are mentioned, yes, but they are secondary to the purely selfish reason that he prefers order to chaos. Any time the altruism card is played or a Reaper says, "we are your salvation" Shepard rightly calls bull****. Yes, it's in the narrative. When you post "yo dawg" you are adding nothing. Nothing! Shepard already calls foul. Many many times.

If he wants order, he could just destroy all life in the universe. That would be calm. Empty. Order.

He says he's preserving organic life, but ignores the fact that the only one creating a problem for organic life requiring them to be preserved is himself.

And yeah, Shepard calls foul. SO WHY DOESN'T SHE DO IT AT THE END?
Don't say injuries or I'll post the vid where Shep runs like an Ethiopian Olympic sprinter again.

"The created will eventually rebel against their creators"
-Starchild
A.K.A - Creater of the super-synthetic race of Reapers that wipes the galaxy clean every 50,000 years

So, in his 14 lines of dialogue in the entire game, he's already brought in and defeated a retarded circular-logic.

The Romans already figured out what the Star Child was trying to achieve. It's called turning a city into a desert and calling it peace.

Catalyst did not make the reapers. He controls them.

Kind of funny how such a clean and pure solution is not one that an AI would prefer, no?

I mean except that it is probably impossible to wipe out all organic life for good. Organic life can probably develop even from a dead enviroment. It only needs the circumstances that makes life possible.

Yaknow, all the Reapers saying that organics can't possibly comprehend them... I think it's the other way around. The Reapers, and especially the Catalyst, don't comprehend organic life. They apply cold logic to the problem, and the solution they come up with is exactly the problem itself: synths destroying organics. They "preserve" organics as if they were just data files to store in memory.

If you play your cards right, both the Geth and EDI seem to evolve beyond just cold logic; EDI especially, with her saying she feels "alive" during the final goodbye sequence on Earth at the end.

"They are my solution" implies he came up with the idea of having them rape everything every 50k years. Whether he hand crafted them himself in his space magic workshop is irrelevant.

I think we need to look at a history book sometime.....Organics have a massivehistory of self destrution, via war nad via massivly messing up there environment. We have a tendence to blow everythting to hell and overcomsume...
If your say the reapers are causing the problem, you ignoring the fact the organic was doing a fine enough job killing themselves.

And the Reapers didn't make it any better or did they?

Irrevant. Whether or not some organics blow themselves up, organic life has never, NEVER gone extinct.
Spacebrats assertions are wrong. The only one going around causing galactic extinction level events is him.

Also, the Protheans brought galactic order through their might.
Who disrupted that? The Reapers.

The Asari were peaceful throughout their entire history. They formed the Council and brought order to much of the galaxy.
Who disrupted that? The Reapers.

Order. Yeah, sure.

That doesn't say he made them. I can have a bug problem in my yard. I can go out a buy insectiside and call it my salution to the bug pest problem. I clearly did not make the insectiside.
