And not making decent porting.
This.
Buying Dragon Age 2 and 3/4,and receiving plot-critical content (Javik,Return To Ostagar, anyone?) as DLC.
EXCLUSIVELY teenage-fantasy romance options.I am 32,my husband is 49.Cutey boys are fine, but could there be more alternatives, especially for the ladies?Guys do get their variety of ladies both in ME and DA.We want them too.Pls.
Filler combat,absurd,irrelevant fetch quests galore.
Storyline : Hero(es) join up to look for the Everlost Cake, that was promised. They find it.
Final Boss Fight : The Munchdemon - give the cake or lie.
Actually, the munchdemon would be cute.Especially if Isolde showed up with Bann Teagan, and Isolde could ask :
"Who is djhis deMON Teaguuuhn".

More reused environments and small scope.

Another walk in the Fade dream crap, damn how I hate going to the circle in DA just because of that
Take away my pointy end on my mage staff
Sandal disappears with the warden or something along those lines
Flemeth VA leaves...Flemeth no longer part of DA story

That's just my opinion though, I don't have some grand moral objection to the practice. You can charge whatever for whatever, I'll buy it if I want to.

- Anime-fy DA. Noooooooooooo! If I want comics, I'd buy games from Marvel. I want a real fantasy that mature gamers can enjoy.
- Keep that dialog wheel. Arrrrgh!
- More mages *concealing* their talents by brandishing a honking big bayonet-staff around town. Maybe it's Halloween in Kirkwall year-round and those are plastic staves. Or, all templars have cataracts.

Allan, Shale was a free content to everyone who bought the game, we saw that was a way to (sorry for the word) ****block the used game selling, I actually support it.
But the major issue is From Ashes divided the community between peasant edition and noble edition.
And was a slap in the face of those who bought the normal edition, it felt like : your money is not enough.
It was a unethical rip off against paying costumer, this just gave a "positive" image of piracy.
Like: You don' t pay for it, you get all content and don't need origin as DRM.
And if you are a paying costumer you received a DRM in your back and less content, how you expect to incentive paying costumer with that kind of atrocious policy?

Everybody know that you send PS3/360 versions for certification and have quite some time after that do create day 1 content. It's just if it's story, main story content like Shale/From Ashes - it should be free. Stuff like weapons, pets etc. can be sold, and sold for a premium. It's about having to pay extra for the complete story.Allan Schumacher wrote...

From Ashes, mostly. Javik`s dialogue,in my opinion, shed light on many things that would have remained obscure. For me,anyway. Return to Ostagar, similarly. Stone Prisoner was great,it was funny, and Shale was epic.

This.Sorry,I just ROFLd so hard.Properly concealing ourselves would not be a bad idea...I always found it absurd in AC1 when Altair, who is hunted by-well,basically everyone who breathes-walks around wearing the same clothing as described in his "WANTED" poster.

2. spawning enemies
3. exploding enemies
4. over the top unrealistic combat
5. using the look of elves from DA2
6. Forced companions.
7. not being able to customize the companions. Its just so dumb to have Hawke carry around 50 good armours, and not being able to give one to a companion who is walking around in a shirt.
8. 1 weapon\\fighting style for companions. that bit was an utter failure in DA2. It ruins replayability too, because you are forced to use Aveline if you arn`t playing a tank yourself.

Marethari , Anyala (Zathrian's apprentice in DAO) and Morrigan weren't crazy.
Merril neither, though she was too naive.

Stone Prisoner was AWESOME. Solid, high-quality mission to get the character, and a fantastic character once obtained - laugh out loud funny on occasions, and with one of the best backstories of the entire game. And yet, if you don't install the DLC (or choose not to do the mission) you don't feel like you're missing out on any crucial story content. Plus the price was right, of course - no complaints from me about you guys trying to make some money back from otherwise profit-less second hand sales.
Basically, we paid for the game on day 1 - charging extra for something that very day just makes us feel like we're being taken advantage of. Does it work? I'm sure it does, but at what cost to loyalty, or subsequent DLC sales later on?
As for From Ashes... that DLC was ridiculous, for several reasons:
Story: I won't go into Mass Effect story details here, but it's plainly obvious that a Prothean squad member was going to be pretty important and integral to the concluding part of the Mass Effect trilogy, and thus should have been included as part of the core game experience! If James Vega had been the day 1 DLC character ("an otherwise anonymous Alliance marine whose background in the triolgy is non-existent"), this complaint wouldn't have existed.
Quality: Not something that anyone could have known before purchasing the DLC, but frankly From Ashes was *rubbish*. It offered half an hour of content, maybe, and a character that I certainly could have lived without. If you're going to charge for something *at all* the quality needs to be high, on day 1 this is ten times more important. Again, this complaint wouldn't exist if the DLC had added a longer or more interesting mission (think Lair of the SB).
"Cut" Content: It became obvious after the release of ME3 that at least part of the From Ashes content (the character itself if not the associated mission) was actually on the game disc itself. Now, I am well aware that this character probably didn't work as intended without the From Ashes download, and obviously some amount of disc-based content for day 1 DLC is likely to be possible, but this really did make the suckers who paid for it feel pretty crap. This complain wouldn't exist if the DLC had been free!

I have a serious disliking for those templar/chantry choirboy hypocrites, i would not like the game to be centred around them. You could make the protagonist be the child with the soul of the old gods and let us conquer the golden city or something like that instead. Even fighting darkspawn again seems more apealing then making the chantry mage thing the centre of the story.
In your opinion. I prefer to see more of the templar-mage war than another Blight.
And while I'm not completely against the idea of playing as the little Urthemiel, a lot of people will be pissed of if they decide to make him/her canon.

Storywise,I guess I would love if all the problems lurking under the surface blew up in our face...
Imagine the epic ****storm : both remaining Archdemons awake before their time;we could finally learn more about the blights, dark city and the taint (Avernus,Architect, cure, anyone?

The Shale DLC was perfectly acceptable because you got it with the game free. CE (or whatever) or not.

NOT including OGB - his potential existence was one of the more interesting things about DA
NOT mentioning Flemeth's origins/ identity - She awesome and I just need to know more about her (is that really so bad?)
Restricting to Companions to certain roles within a group, that is to say, I don't want Anders to have exclusive access to a specialized healing tree and Merril being a lackluster healer at best because she only has access to 'Heal'

An open ending: I would really like to see a beginning, a middle and an end, so I can be satisfied with my choices made during my playthrough
Character interaction / story trying to be too sarcastis/funny. I felt it wasnt very balanced.. Okay, I dont have a strong argumentation for this one, mainly cause I havent played DA2 for a while, but this was something I felt a couple of times during my playthroughs... MotA made this worse...
Edit:
When Morrigan and/or Flemeth appear again, making them some kind of marketing gimmick. When Flemeth spoke about Hawke in the Destiny trailer, and playing the demo, I thought Flemeth would have a big role in DA2.. It was really a shame that didnt happen!!<_<
