Yea, it was great gameplay. Story was a little too cliche for my taste, and I mean the whole story. Magical Galaxy saving device discovered at the most convenient time..... come on. I enjoyed that they extended the level cap and added in modding again and an extensive ability chart reminiscent of Mass Effect 1. Overall, yea, great game, need more LI's though

Ignoring the ending, ME3 is the best game i've played for a very long time.
It has more stand out moments of any game I've ever played. Story was great but I have to say I wasn't a big fan of the magic galaxy saving device that was conveniently shoved into the narrative with no prior mention in previous games but other then that, ME3 was a fantastic journey that did a great job of tying up a lot of the long running arcs from the past 2 games.

Short answer yes. Even very much. I would have liked to see Palaven or Thessia like Illium in ME2 but that's not a bug problem. The problem is elsewhere..... you know <_<

I certainly did. The ending just destroyed all narrative cohesion; before the space kid, I had a blast.

Bit of a spoiler there m8, but that's my take on it aswell.

Yes, i enjoyed playing Mass Effect 3 and started a new playthrough. Im not really disappointed about the endings. I just wish there were 1 or 2 more endings, that had a happier story conclussion.

Ignoring the ending, absolutely I did.

Possibly enjoyed the playing of it more than the other two even
The combat system was robust and strong, but best was the atmosphere, th building sense of doom & destruction and pressure on Shepard.

Looks like we all pretty much agree, great game it just falls apart at the end, which is very sad since the game was that good.

If not for the games ending, wich nulifies the replay value of not only Mass Effect 3, but also the two first games... and their DLC... I enjoyed ME3 very much... but only ONCE...

What I liked
+ Characters and dialogs
+ the epicness throughout the game
+ great music
+ the polished gameplay mechanics
+ while building the cruicible story is lame, the other side stories are pure genius (the genophage, Battle for Rannoch)
+ lots of emotionally touching moments throughout the game
+ the final fight on earth was amazing

What I disliked
- The Intro is lackluster in comparison to earlier games (especially considering that THIS intro shows the invasion... and still the earlier once where better)
- Ashes should be in main game, very bugged though
- no battle for omega (THIS should be Day1 DLC)
- Dialog wheel underused
- No Parasini, also other side characters massivly under used
- Rachni underused
- pathetic animations on dialogs (body language)
- lack of quest log updates
- face import bug
- facial animation seems to me is the worst in whole trilogy
- the laughable arguements at the beginning of the game

(how do we stop the reapers? Lets build this space magic device, which has a function we do not know yet... but it will stop the rEApers... probably, maybe... totaly absurdly bad writing on this, still better than ending)

- No real option to really influence the ending... this game is so linear that it actually hurts....
- The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,  The ending,

When I forget about the ending I would rate this game a 7-/10
When I take the ending into account I would rate it 3+/10

I do not believe there will be another game this year, that will be such a dissappointment...
I am only going to buy one more pre-order... the new Tomb Raider... but as far as BW games go... no more Collectors Editions, no more pre-orders...

Yeah...agreed generally but I highlighted one thing...

At least the body animations in ME3 were better than those in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.  Almost everyone in that game appeared to have cerebral palsy.  I didn't feel any need to diagnose who had what disease in ME3...and the animations weren't, to my eye, distractingly bad.  Sometimes in DE:HR I wished I could reach through the screen and slap the speaker in the game to make them STOP FIGITING.

Hell yeah, I loved this game, I was hooked on it from start to finish, and although the ending could have seen a let's say, happier option, it wasn't completely bad as I heard it would be, in fact it's different, I seem to remember people telling Bioware that they didn't want the generic find a super weapon, blow the bad guys up ending, and now that Bioware put a twist on things people are unhappy.

Before I got hit by Harbingers beam, Mass Effect 3 was a spectacular game. After I got hit by Harbingers beam, it wasn't. UNLESS, this whole "Indoctrination Theory" is true.

Yes, as much as I was disappointed with the ending, everything prior was truly excellent. That's why it makes it harder to accept that such a well-polished game could end so...haphazadly.

Mass Effect 3 was a great game. It was epic. IMO it could have been  the best part of the entire series (not counting the last 15 minutes/the ending).
I really liked the overall story,  the game`s atmosphere, the character moments, the mission desgin, etc. The gameplay & combat system was also near perfection (only negative thing: just one button for several different actions [cover/sprint/roll])
The only thing I didn't quite like was the lack of mini-games (no vehicle mission, no hacking/dechiper, mini-rddles, etc.) .

There were issues in ME3 which others have pointed out (lack of convos with crew, Vega was a complete miss as a romance option, etc etc), but to me these were all very minor and entirely overshadowed by the amazing journey that was ME3. It's easily my favorite game in the series. The combat was well done, the romance (at least mine) was spectacular and well-developed, the friendships were deep and emotionally touching, the armor/weapons customization was very satisfying without being an ungainly repeat of the ME1 system, the missions were all a lot of fun. Story was good, etc etc. Just an overall awesome game.

Then the ending had to come along, and it was truly out of left field. Felt so disconnected from the rest of the story, especially since I play a pure paragon Shep who's sole business is to be noble and unite peoples and try to help everyone out. She and her crewmates had all the hope in the world that they would overcome the Reaper threat, despite all the setbacks and pain and loss and darkness often present in the narrative. It just didn't fit the tone of my Shepard/my previous ME playthroughs to have things end so spectacularly badly. It was like the worst case scenario, except there's no way to get a different fate. Really sucks. :/

But yes. Other than the ending, ME3 was one of the best games, if not the best, I've ever played. Which makes it all the more sad that they couldn't end it on a better note.

I have three main problems, the ending aside:

-lazy design in the form of petty fetch quests and scanning. And there was a lot of this.

-sticky cover system.

-forced melodrama.

Other minor niggles include level design that is yet again linear and too focused. A useless journal. Finding your weapons at convenient places instead of having to really work for them. And while combat is fun, it lacks variety.

Overall, I loved the game and the changes they have made in integrating a few more side quests than ME2 (more like ME1 with all of the side objectives) while taking the tediousness of exploring/scanning planets into a less time-consuming process. It gives you more time to focus on other areas while still having available plenty of secondary objectives to work on.

The gameplay was great and general flow of the game were very enjoyable. Despite the ending outrage, I still loved the game overall and I'm happy to replay it. In support of the developers, even putting aside the endings, I've purchased some ME2 DLC that I never got for my full series playthroughs and I'm proud to continue to support them for putting out such great games. ME/DA has occupied many, many hours of free time for me so I support Bioware here. :D

I'll add to that.

Bad Field of Vision without modding. WHich EA said is bannable which is is bs.
Terrible textures on PC
No keyboard shortcuts
Journal is the worst of the 3 games. ME1 updated after well any new info, ME2 just told you where to go but ME3 doesn neither
Origin
Shepard is able to solve impossible problems in a day. I guess I can really only blame Bioware on their writing they constantly use the "your the chosen one" syndrome.

The Journal. The Journal. Also, did I mention the Journal? 'cause the Journal.

In all seriousness though it was a very, very good game. Fantastic, even captivating ( a word I never have the opportunity to use) riiiight up until Ventboy became God. I shoulda listened to my friend and turned it off when a certain someone did a certain thing after telling me he was proud.

You see?  YOU SEE PEOPLE?!  Marauder Shields TRIED his best to save you!  He GAVE HIS LIFE yet no one heeds him.  Did NO ONE listen to Marauder Shields?  Did NO ONE stop before it was...to late?

For MY deus ex ending in ME3, if we are going to have a deus ex ending, then damnit!  I want a REAL deus ex ending!  Just when Shepard is about to continue into the beam out of the OTHER side, opposite of Marauder Shields' hiding place, pops Adam Jenson from Deus Ex: HR and he does his nonlethal takedown on Shepard, saving Shepard and the entire series from catastrophe.  If you are going with deus ex machina endings, the USE Deus Ex damnit!

In my opinion I love the game until the last missions on earth, I think that won't be necessary at all to be there, the story is epic, but at the end leaves more questions than answers. Multiplayer is fun and a great addition, but to maintain the galactic readiness up to 100% is a little annoying because some people like me don't allways be all day in front of the console/PC and if you want best ending you need to play multiplayer everyday. Until now this is the best game of 2012

I'm just gonna say what I thought most of the time while playing, because it's too many things. Apart from what folks already mentioned, I have the unpopular opinion (but not the only one) that ME3 had way too much melodrama. Obviously drama is a requirement, it's a war and the world is ending, but I just don't enjoy that kind of thing, it's just my taste, it's not fun to me, specially becaue I think the presentation felt like too much at times. The dream sequences about god kid are annoying, and so cliche (why one kid? Shep has seen so many people die, specially Sole Survivor and Colonist Shep, I just don't feel one kid would bother her so specially). So yes, the drama was kinda boring, annoying, at times, but just my opinion.
Listening in on other people's stories of death gets tiring too, and seeing death after death, after a while it's just another death, I just stop caring. But I'm just not the type of fan that takes the story this seriously (specially with "let's build a massive weapon we don't know how works and bet all our chances on that"), but I do care about the characters.
Barely seeing ME2 characters disappointed me too. I thought actually instead of less dialogue options we'd get a lot more talk, maybe getting to know characters more, somewhat like DAO v.v (silly thought, I know) Also ManShep had so many more romance options, why?
I like a lot of things about it of course, I think you finally got Liara right (less creepy), a lot of characters, and solving huge problems like geth/quarian (though no real consequence for that in the end), it felt a bit rushed though.
I'm so glad I'm not a Jacob or Thane romancer, that was... bad. A kick in the ovaries.
But too much listening in on strangers conversations and too little dialogue and stuff with the squad and old characters. I got one talk with Tali I think? I did like the new male characters (Vega too, what I was able to know of him as I'm not gonna watch some cartoon or comic etc for a game's story. Why no romance?)
I din't get what happened to Udina... he didn't seem like an idiot to trust Cerberus before.

The whole "multiplayer not affecting single player" was a lie in ways I never thought would happen :(

I have to say something, small but... people's arms look weird, their forearms. On females specially the body looks strange compared to ME1 and 2, the faces are different, and each outfit has a different body type XD It was funny for femShep "let me change into my big butt outfit... hmm I'll wear my big and lower butt armor to match!"

Ignoring the ending, I will say yes I enjoyed ME3. I think it was probably the worst of the 3 games and what I found enjoyable about it was the action/combat of the game. The story to me took a back seat and felt disconnected.
