Important: ignoring the ending, did you enjoy Mass Effect 3? Let Bioware know

Still, can't wait for what Bioware has in store for "correcting" the ending.

Because I haven't played the ending mission yet.
In a week I'll hate it and disavow everything I just said.

Edit: I'm loving the repeated use of "narrative cohesion" by forumites now that the youtube video articulately addressing everything there is to dislike about the game has been put up.

"It's one hell of a sweet ride. Until you try to get to the end and try to get out of your seat and the guy at the control box suddenly jumps up and kicks you in the sack."

Broad criticisms:
- I thought the dialogue options were too simplified (ME2 did it better)
- The game felt less personal than the last two
- The Citadel felt too small for the scale of everything else going on
- ME3 kind of tosses the plot of ME2 and connects more directly to ME1. I thought it did ME2 a huge disservice.
The pre-release DLC, From Ashes, was a shameless money grab.

1. Auto-dialogue (too much of it) "It's your Shepard" as the devs kept saying, but at times it didn't feel like it.
2. Removal of neutral dialogue option was ... problematic.
3. N7 missions were a bit lacking and felt more like set up for MP than missions of their own.
4. Thane romance was the definition of "dropped the ball."
5. MP is fun, but need something other than fetch quests to compete w/ that in SP.
6. A lack of interaction w/ VS on Normandy.

-Overuse of auto-dialogue when the first two games were player driven.
-Phoned in level system that doesn't present any hard choices.
-Phoned in weapons that do little to differentiate themselves.
-Poor use of environments, often you'll "See" action outside of your invisible corridor, but it's just an animation with nothing actually happening.
-Invisible corridors, no different from ME2 except the wallpaper on the walls isn't gray, it now looks like it's bigger than it is.
-Thermal clips to continue to pretend it's GoW type shooter, but in such abundance the weapons might as well have endless ammo and not bother with the thermal clips that never made sense in the first place.
-Can't achieve best ending in SP.
-Most sidequests aren't actually quests.
-Timed missions.
I can keep going. While it's not a bad game, it's definitely not a great one.

if somebody poops on your cupcake you don't ignore it and eat it anyway
But that's not my question. If we go with your metaphor, you were eating a nice cupcake before someone 'pooped' on it in the last few minutes. While you may not like what that person did at the end, everything was great until that moment, and therefore if they were to make any more cupcakes, it's good to let them know you like the recipe, you'd just rather do without the **** at the end.

Overall? Yes.
But I still think they're going too far towards the shooter/action junkie fans out there.
Here are some examples of what I mean:
1. Non-functioning journal/datapad - This is baffling. This should be one of the very first things that an RPG fixes/does.
2. Sidequests limited, and dispensed by just walking by folks for the most part
3. Removing 1/3rd of the dialog (neutral options)
4. Tali face reveal
Basically, they still managed to make a great game, outside of the endings, but they did not beef up the RPG elements nearly enough. Bring back ME1 levels!
Would agree with this person here. Other than that i really enjoyed .

1. Removal of Neutral Dialogue
2. Disturbing amount of auto-dialogue
3. Romance choices certainly lacked.
4. ME2 romances kinda got a kick in the quad.
5. I expected the game to be much longer and not as linear. I hope an expansion pack is released to eventually fix this.
6. Lack of Adam Baldwin. I ****ing LOVED Kal'Reegar, so it broke my heart when he died offscreen.
7. Lack of Female Turians. BIOWARE. FIX WITH FUTURE DLC PLEASE! D:
8. Lack of Batarian Squad Members.
9. Lack of Salarian/Elcor/Hanar/Volus/Krogan-only Reaper forces.
10. Jessica Chobot... nuff' said.
11. Tali face reveal. I mean, no face would've been better than photoshopped face.

Not ignoring the ending, its still one of my favorite games of all time, but the ending really does suck lol
Sure I had a few problems with the Journal and Jessica Chobot, but I had problems concerning the long rides it took to get to the Colossi in shadow of the colossus, as well as the crazy camera angles, and SotC is still one of my other favorite games of all time.

What I do not like is MP being mandatory for the "best" end, but that is nothing a savegame editor would not solve.

Honestly it is the most emotional I have ever gotten with a game, and got me very excited about the potential of the medium in a way that I haven't felt since I was a lot younger.
With that said, bad ending.
