There were a few things that I would've liked handled differently but overall, the good far outweighed the bad...

It was an amazing game, the only things that really got me annoyed was
- Removal of Neutral Choice
- The Auto-Dialouge
- The swapping discs for missions (instead of having half the game on one and half on the other)
- Lack of dialogue with Virmire Survivor. (On the Normandy)
This, but I replaced the lack of romance options (because I honestly don't really care about that) with:
- The complete gimping of the journal

There's truth to a lot of the complaints everyone's listed in this thread, but they're completely forgivable. Mass Effect 1 and 2 both had their share of problems, too, and that doesn't stop them from being masterpieces.
I realize folks are angry because of the ending situation, and I'm literally losing sleep over what may or may not be revealed at PAX, but it's honestly kind of painful to see the excellent 98% of the game get so much flak because of it.

-Too much auto-dialogue
- Import issues shocking
- Disc swapping for 360 was not well done
- Journal broken
- Still issues with cover/combat system (too sticky, not fluid)
- Elimination of real exploration and side missions
- Forced Multiplayer
- War Assets could've been handled better
Most of the game was engaging as we all come to expect. I won't say I'm really disappointd, as my expectations were not through the roof for this one. Some issues hopesully are patched.

I heard the voyage of the Titanic was 98% excellent too.

Just have to say, that Bioware did an amazing job with the game and the ME3 team should feel immensely proud of what they have done.

Indeed it was! And don't forget the Lusitania! Everyone forgets the Lusitania.

Those folks on the Titanic were all a big bunch of whiners. It's "the journey" that matters, not the end.

In either case as far as the ending goes, I can deal with it. I know theres more coming and I am looking forward to seeing if one group is right or another one is. But we'll see what comes april 6th but I am not letting the ending wreck my good time.
And the ending was WAYYYY better then Operation Raccoon City so make of that what you will. Hell I didn't feel even slightly ripped off about Mass Effect 3. Operation Raccoon City on the other hand made me feel ripped off and violated. For me that was a Day One Refund.

But the ending was worse than bad, it was horrific. And it is the ending to this incredible trilogy that is most remembered, and that will cast a long shadow over all three games.
A bad ending is disappointing; a bad ending to something that is epic awesomeness yields epic disappointment. But to anyone who has been paying attention to the ME universe (and not just shooting stuff), the ME3 ending evokes a lot more than epic disappointment: it evokes something more akin to betrayal. And rightly so. It is a narrative failure (not just a bad ending) of epic proportions.
The Bioware team should be immensely proud of what they accomplished for 99% of the playing time of the game. However, they should be ashamed of the finale, and how they managed to mar and stigmatize an entire trilogy of games in a mere 5 minutes of horrific story-telling.
I know you want to show your appreciation for the ME team. But they are grown ups (not to mention a commercial enterprise) and need to hear the whole deal.

Awesome ride. Cheered at certain parts, finished a song for another, crossed my fingers at others and went in with my heart pounding during battle. Especially with certain enemies that always put the fear of god in me when they scream.

Oh hey! I can do that too (damn with faint praise): The ending was WAYYYYY better than a sharp stick in the eye! I didn't even feel slightly ripped off because at the end of the game my eye's were totally sharp stickless (sure, I wanted to GOUGE my eyes out but...no stick!).

As much as they touted the game was meant for new and returning players-beyond MP, it was obvsously designed for folks with a vested interest (save games) in the series. And I like that.
I'm actually (slowly) working on another play-through and am just going to alt-tab/close window after a certain point and have a six-pack waiting on ice to dull the pain of what I didn't just witness
(Edit: Not that it is without it's issues-it has many. But overall minus brain drain cliffhanger I did enjoy it.)
