I wanted to kill him. Never would have chosen the option to take him in anyways. He pissed me off since ME1

Anyone in this thread realize udina did what he did for the sake of earth? He wanted to force the other ambassadors to send aid. Cerberus was a means towards that end.

Yes, working with Cerberus. The group constantly at odds with the Council since day one. The group that no one, not even Udina, trusted Shepard because s/he was working with them in ME2, despite being the only group working to help humans out on the outskirts of Council space. The ones who claim everything their doing is for human dominance, and, by extension, that their attempted coup is for human dominance, which is not about to endear the needed non-human support for Earth.

Brilliant logic there, Councilor. I salute you.

I'd been waiting for that moment since ME1.

I always thought Udina was a tool. I am fine with how the story played out regarding him. I didn't see it coming and it seemed far fetched but it didn't alienate me.

Would have preferred being able to knee-cap him. And then let Bailey have him for a few hours, get all the intel he has, then blow his ass out the nearest air lock.

And those people who don't like that idea (Kaiden for example) they can join his happy ass floating in the cold depths of space. This is a time of war, he is a traitor and would be put to death regardless. But finding out the why, and how, and when, well that would have been nice too.

Always dislike Udina. And why did they decided to give him a thicker Irish accent. Did not care for it.

A bullet right between the eyes would've been better. Bastard has no heart.

I had a feeling from ME2 that he was working with Cerberus

I would have shot him in a heartbeat had we been given the chance in ME1 so yeah, waiting 5 years to blow that little puke away was worth the wait. I didn't even bat an eyelash. Glad I didn't have to shoot through Ash to get to him but even as Paragon Shep I would have if she made me. Udina HAD to die imho, no way around it in my mind.

That Udina was beyond corrupt was made blatantly obvious in the comics that has the storyline about Bailey killing the Executor, basically spent the time waiting since then for him to get his come uppance.

... I felt kinda silly when the door opened and Bailey stepped out instead of Kai Leng, especially since it seemed like Udina had actually been getting better in ME3 than his appearances in ME1 & 2 but yaknow.

I can understand it. He spent so much time around Bailey and it was bound to rub off on him. I get the same way whenever we get temps from the UK, to the point where I say 'Cheers' a lot instead of 'Thanks'.

I was willing to accept the vagueness of the reasoning for his betrayal with the hope of a great ending/selection of endings, which no one would have even wanted Udina to a be a part of, anyways.

I would've liked it if things were clarified a bit more, though I'm still not thrilled with it. Udina was an obstructive bureaucrat, sure, but I never saw him as straight-up villain that deserved to be shot. The whole thing felt like they wanted to allow fans who hated him in the first couple games to kill him.

I was OK with it, but I would have liked to see a cutscene or two foreshadowing it. Maybe see Udina argue with the Council vainly for help and lose his temper and say "I'll make them see, one way or the other" or something. It just happened a little bit abruptly, that's all.

I like others, would have preferred more details about his motivation and when exactly he started working with Cerberus, the entire storyline disappeared out of memory almost as quickly as it had appeared. It happened, and then was immediately forgotten by almost every character, you find out so little afterward that it sort of fizzled out to me.

I enjoyed it and all, but it just seemed to lack depth.

I wanted to walk up to his body and put a few more holes in it after. Been wanting to do so since ME1.

The bolded would be my guess... And who knows, he may have been indoctrinated because he was a jerk.

You didn't read the Cerberus Coup entry in the Codex?
