Bought the Ranger Booklet Still Not a Ranger!?!??!

I bought the Booklet from the vender at camp for my rouge. Now what? Will the option to choose the specialization become available after I level again?

Go check your stats and click level up, if you have specialization point (you get ane at level 7 and other level 14) you can now become ranger.

No. Even though there's no plus on your little portrait, you can just go to the character screen and "level up" and use the specialization.

Buying the booklet has unlocked the Ranger Specialization for your account. That means that whenever you have a rogue with 1 specialisation point available from now on(in this or any other games) you can use that point to learn it. Points are awarded at levels 7 and 14, and heroes with 1 specialization already(every NPC hero in the game appart from Sten) will only be able to learn their second one at lvl 14. If you play a rogue of course you can become a ranger by level 7.
Another thing with books is that you can save before bying the book, buy it, save at a new save and reload your old one. The specialization will be unlocked for you and you've saved yourself the sovereigns for buying it
