Imagine if in COD (popular for multiplayer) you need to do certain things in the campain in order to unlock guns in multiplayer or multiplayer game modes. The reaction to that would be similiar to the reaction to the ending of ME3, probably worse.Calamity wrote...
Great post and I agree 100% regarding MP in SP. Give me back my 100% single player. MP doesn't need SP so why the other way around?

In a series that so proudly boasts about your choices mattering, and the constant theme of overcoming impossible odds with teamwork, I dont see why a "happy" ending would be a bad thing.Ryoten wrote...

ME3 is still epic game with terrible, illogical ending. BioWare can be proud of what they achieved with ME3, but the ending needs fixing. It will pay off in the long-run, IMHO.

I'm trying to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt, but maybe you're right.Kronner wrote...
I don't buy that Mike Gamble in particular is passionate about Mass Effect. If anything, based on his interviews and tweets, it often seems like he's never played the games. At least that's my impression.

I think the multiplayer is fun and it is a nice addition. But it being needed to get best ending is strange decission and I don't like it.

I see the paper icon next to the thread title turned blue instead of yellow. What does that mean? I know the fire thing means its a hot topic, but what about the blue paper?
EDIT: Figured it out.....duh
Well, if we knew what colors meant, maybe the ending would make some sense.

Why do people write "Please Read" in thread titles? Isn't it implied that you want someone to read it? It is a forum where people log in to read threads, right?

I found it very relevant, thank you!

You would think that some of the other important employees at some of these companies would be like, "Uh, maybe this is bad idea" and once or twice the execs would listen. I wonder if its just that the video game industry is small compared to other industries and people are afraid to lose their jobs for disagreeing with upper management?Kingofthebonggo wrote...
Well constructed and cohesive point OP. I wish the suits would be able to read this but the sad thing is that execs of mega-corps like EA, Activision, and Capcom (worst of all of them) do not actually play games. They see revenues and profits - that's all.

B. A true bittersweet ending

I would go as far as differentiate the endings based on paragon/renegade as well. Perhaps for the best case endings there is one common ending to join the council after you save the galaxy. But renegade Shepard has the option to take over the council, leaves the citadel and Earth space (for the giant boost to Earth economy), and ending focuses more on the prosperity of Earth. Paragon Shepard is would have the choice to leave the council seat to Anderson, and go make some blue babies.Joykilledme wrote...
I agree with everything the OP said except that I think we shouldn't be stuck with any ending. Meaning depending on what you do and what choices you make throughout the game/s you get a
