The end of Mass Effect 3 is like a bad breakup.

It's hard to get over, and most of us (myself included) are clinging to the hope that we'll get back together again. We're waiting to hear back from our lover at Pax this April, but if things don't work out... we'll be forced to see other games.

This so much

I've shoved it into the back of my mind until PAX. Got other things to worry about.

Just never look too closely at your LCD monitor your head might explode. (Unless your television or display has yellow or white subpixels then you get more endings)

If Pax is a bust ill move on, I'll pretend the endings didn't happen just like i pretend the Aliens trilogy ended after the 2nd movie.

Of course, the downside of pretending it never happened means i wont buy any future DLC or ME sequels, but if that's the price then so be it.

I'm at the stage where if it's got EA on the label the fans metacentric will need to be 85+ before I'll look at it!

If Bioware write an ending to ME3 then I'll download it and look, and use it as a guide for any further DLC

I also want any future games to ship complete, with no obvoius "We cut this content for later sale" Ads, no Ads, and no obvoius 'Artistic integrity went out the window because a suit said it has to ship today!'

Have the endings changed? No? Still upset the game's ending sucked so much. (Other aspects, not so much)

But I'm not closing my doors to Bioware. I'll not make the mistake of preordering their stuff though. If the reviews say it has a crappy ending that makes the other 99% of the game not worth playing, never mind then.

This right here.  Funny, sad, and true.

I accept the fact that it's TERRIBLE. But after biting into a s*** sandwich, accepting that it's what it was doesn't make me feel ANY better.

I was never angry over the ending, or at BioWare for that matter. Would be nice if this died down for a while. They've already announced that closure you seek is coming, there's really no need to continue screaming at them. They got the message, now let them do their jobs.

I accept that the endings are poorly written and executed. I accept that Bioware should do something about it, not "clarify" but fix. I accept that, given the promises made by Bioware as they pushed over-priced pre-order and day-one-dlc, not much of the originally stated criteria were met by Mass Efect 3. I accept that EA's money-mongering took precedence causing the epic failure of the creative team to deliver a game equal to the Mass Effect title. I accept that everything stated here makes more sense than any justifcation the "indoctrination theory" can swallow. I accept that "customer satisfaction" used to mean a sh!t-ton more than it does today. I accept that EA Public Relations wants me to feel like a "whiney entitled fanboy" so they can procrastinate long enough to count their money before owning their mistake.

Bioware doesn't want me to reach the acceptance stage. Because that's when I stop buying anything produced by them and I can hold a grudge better than Zaeed

Acceptance? I will never accept the endings as they are

I'm not sure how anyone could accept that crap.

Playing Mass effect 2 again just reminds how much better it was than Mass effect 3 for the most part.
I just started and already it feels better.

I've ACCEPTED that its bad.

And that they should add more content. If not, well I've got The Witcher 2 and Skyrim to play for now. That should hold me off till something good comes out.

I've accepted that they are "addressing it" and that is the only reason I'm not as sad as before.

No. But I am holding on to hope.

Bioware can still remedy the situation.

Not really. I'm still hoping to do at least another play-through and that won't happen unless the ending is amended. I haven't even looked at the game since I finished it. Don't ask. Same goes for ME1 & 2.

I'm not demanding anything but my request still stands.

lol, I'm doing the exact same thing. How odd it is, that ME2... which should for all intents and purposes just be a filler is much better in an all around kind of way than ME3

It's 4:15 AM where I live and I'm online posting in a forum... acceptance may be a part of the greiving process, but darn if I'm not experiencing a bit of emotional constipation!

I'm still waiting for the officaial answer on the ending, so I won't be able to move on just quite yet. If I hear nothing in a few months then I'll move on.
