almost too many good points to mention. Anderson and Shepard at the end. Honorable mention for background character goes to the poem writing krogan who I helped to get with his asari chick in ME 2 and recorded a wonderful goodbye to her whil fighting the Rachini
What was the MOST emotional scene in the game for you?

The end of Thessia and after Thessia - I found that to pretty well tug at the heart strings. The sense of defeat both at loosing the data and the planet.. failing Liara and the rest of the Asari, yeah that one was pretty emotional.

When Garrus said 'Go out there, and give them hell. You were born to do this.' I couldn't help a little boyish grin at the cheesy yet awesome line.
Also the moment when you see a huge planet on fire in the sky and think 'Oh, so thats Palaven'. Just sense of raw scale was awesome.

Grunts almost death. I never cry, but I did just then. it surprised me, since I never really was in to him in me2. but you know, ever since me3, I've started to appriciate the me2 characters much more....their absence made me realise how much I missed them in my squad

Awesome, feels like I have only seen a third of the game, even so I played it through, if only the ending wouldn't suck so bad...what a great game ME3 could have been.

There were a lot of things that got me emotional--most of them the sad ones. But most of those that don't I have to work to remember, because they didn't stick with me as much as the sad ones do. Dancing with Jack made me laugh, and I loved the moments on the Citadel with Garrus and Kaidan (Hell, the romance between a loyal femShep and Kaidan, especially when she stares at his ass--her goofy grin makes me giggle), and Liara's scene in Shepard's cabin. I've never been angrier at a video game than when Kai Leng stole the information from Thessia--especially after what he did to Thane. I wanted blood.
As for the sad points, there were many. Honorable mention goes to Grunt launching himself and the rachni over the cliff. But these are my top three:
3. Kaidan's goodbye. He was my LI, and I've been in love with Raphael Sbarge's voice since Carth Onasi. When he grabbed Shepard and said in a tear-choked voice, "I can't lose you again"... Despite playing as hardcore Paragon, when the time came to choose my colored explosion, I was sorely tempted to pick destruction and screw over the quarians, Joker, and possibly future generations just so I could selfishly live (at this point, I didn't know you died regardless) and see Kaidan again.
2. Mordin's death. The first time he sang "Scientist Salarian" in ME2, I cheered--I adore Gilbert and Sullivan, and it appealed to my theater-nerd nature. Then, in the tower.... I have no problem admitting that my dignity went out the window and I sobbed like a little ****.
And my number one.... It's a small moment, but unlike any other moment listed, it makes me cry every single time. On Tuchanka, you find a dead krogan, and get a sidequest to deliver his final message to his wife on the Citadel. I didn't think much of it--"Oh, another fetch quest, whatever"--and went to turn it in. Out of nowhere:
"Oh, Blue Rose of Illium..."
My breath caught in my throat, and as the poem was relayed, I just cried harder and harder. It was such a moving piece, and knowing I'd had a hand in getting those two together.... "Oh, Charr," indeed. I don't know why, but out of everything, that wrings my heart more than anything else.

Mordin's death was the only scene that carried over strong emotion into rerun of the game. However, the reaper kill on Ranoch got the loudest breach of my steely emotional resolve. I am sure as my neighbours really appreciated "take that you mother ******* piece of ****" being yelled at the top of my lungs at 6.30 in the morning.
i know what you mean. don't know if i ever jumped up and fist pumped during a game before.
"tell your friends we're comin for 'em"

"nevermind, i'll tell them myself"

The most emotional part was the ending, and not in a good way, as it made me really depressed.
Aside from that, the sacrifice Mordin made for the Genophage was very good, the song he did at the end. I finished it myslef and said the last line, I though Shepard was going to say it. And when the cure got spread throughout the atmosphere and the ME theme started to play, that sent chills down my spine.
But there are many great moments in this game, Liara's visit, where she was making a time capsule. Liara's reaction to Thessia and many more.
I don't understand how Bioware could write all these great moments, and then write something as bad as the ending.

The most emotional part for me was when I watched the "Indoctrination Theory" video on youtube and realized that the end of Mass Effect 3 that previously hadn't made any sense made complete sense. Now I am replaying the entire series just to pay attention to all of the small details. Two words. Mind = Blown.

Mordin hands down, hell the entire Tuchanka section was awesome but Mordin's sacrifice was great.
Grunt holding the line was awesome as well.
Talking to Garrus right before the final assault.

Intentionally?
The Mordin scene was just amazing. Sniff... He's running tests on seashells in heaven now...
Unintentionally?
When Ashley tells Shepard she doesn't want him to go, because I knew about the endings and that there was NO WAY to reunite them. So crushing...

Mordin's death, followed closely by Legion's, Anderson's, and Grunt's (near) death.
Didn't realize that it was Charr who died and left that message. I'm really sad now.

There were lots of great moments that were emotional. Bleeding out with Anderson at the end, the final chats with your squad, Grunt stepping out of the caves covered in blood...
THE most emotional moment for me though was Mordin's sacrifice. The whole Tuchanka campaign was sheer brilliance.

Shep, sitting with Anderson, both of them bleeding out, looking down on the Earth.
"You did good son, you did good. I'm proud of you."
I thought that was the end. If it had just faded to black there as Shep passed out and died, I would've loved the whole game. As it is, the best scene in the game was then followed by the worst.

Either Shepard leaving Earth or Samara's Death, her dialogue could have had a bit more "emotion" IMO

The fall of Tessia. I'm not a huge fan of Liara or Asari in general but it made me cry.
I always cry when my Thane dies. I scrapped my Thane romance import because I don't want to see him die as my LI. It's bad enough already.

Of course Thane and Mordin.
