Definitely the entire Sanctuary mission. Miranda had died during my Suicide mission, so this was a personal quest for revenge and closure on my part.

Deeeeply satisfying

Also, it led to Tali getting drunk so +1 for that lol

Miranda didnt even die in my game and Tali still got plastered whining about her like she did.
Glitch?

Must be. That, or Tali was so sad that Miranda didn't get to see her father die/humiliated that she got drunk for Miranda.  Unless Miranda went with you if she survived, I don't know I haven't had a chance to play through with her alive.

Wrex's confrontation with you on the Citadel if you sabotaged the cure was the worst when I got to that point on my Renegade Shep.Wrex has some of the most powerful dialogue I've heard and witnessing this after my Paragon Shep destroyed the Genophage in such a blaze of glory really tugs at the emotions. Wrex greets you in Docking Bay D-24 with Claymore in hand as he plays a recording of you and the Dalatrass. He then forces you into cover as you tried to explain yourself.

Wrex: But before you die I want you to know that I'm calling off my support for Earth. If my people go extinct SO WILL YOURS!

Shepard: It doesn't have to be this way Wrex!

Wrex: It should have been this way back on Virmire where I made the mistake of trusting you, believing you were my friend! I was a FOOL!  What's the matter? Ashley not around to do your dirty work? (and if she died on Virmire) Oh right! You killed her too. its time you found out how that feels (which is odd considering you died at the beginning of ME2)

Bailey and a Turian C-Sec agent flank Wrex and pump him full of bullets up against a pane of glass as Shepard approaches with a Carfinex. Wrex is bleeding to death and says, " I know... what... you.. did Shepard!" and you have the option to shoot him through the glass or Bailey will.

Of course Mordin will always be an honorable mention. I am the ve-ry mod-el of... I welled up, no shame.

The most emotional part for me was the Paragon argument with Mordin before he entered the elevator. Shep's reaction (and Mark Meer's voice acting) at having to lose Mordin was well done.

Second was the moment with Garrus on top of the Citadel. Garrus was always like a good friend and I like how he developed through these three games. Male bonding and drama, with taunts and jokes. Loved it. Never explaining emotions, but referring to situations that evoke them (the bar thing near the ending) and dark humor.

Tali commiting suicide.

I couldn't live with it so I loaded an earlier save and destroyed the geth instead.

TIM's final words and the talk with Anderson afterwards.

Frankly, if they'd cut the game right there and made that the ending, about 60% of the complaints would be gone. Of course, then you'd have people saying they just ripped off the Sopranos.

Time capsule scene was the apex of the series for me!
runners up were thanes prayer, mordins death, and bringing peace to the geth,

all were equally amazing.

Romance scene with Liara on the way to Cerberus HQ. There were plenty that came close, but that took the cake. Especially since everything we talked about wouldn't come to pass (thanks BioWare).

There were a lot of good moments, but I think the one that I felt the most was Tali finally answering the Geth's question.

I agree with pretty much everyone else, all of these scenes.

But, Mordin's death was particularly sad! :(

And it wasn't the most emotional, but I loved being up in the Presidium, shooting those bottles with Garrus.

For me it was getting the Geth and the Quarians to cooperate. Especially when the Prime walked right up to the Admiral and asked her where they would like to settle. The ending convos were pretty emotional as well, especially the one with Garrus.

*edit* ok pretty much that whole damn scene after you kill the Reaper on Rannoch if you get them to work together.
I can't really say for either of the other two ending for that particular mission because I like both races too much to actually do that.

This one, Tali's death, and shooting Mordin I watched on the YouTube videos, and as much as I'd like to play through the games with a more renegade Shep than the one I have... I just... don't think I could make it all the way through knowing I'd have to see these. Won't watch them again on YouTube. Throat got tight just reading through your transcription and remembering the video with Wrex.  And it's worst with that one because on some level, you know you deserve every word he's saying.

The moment, when I realized that Thessia was lost and Kai Leng escaped with the informations about the catalyst.

I was just as angry as Shepard was on cerberus in the briefing afterwards... and then something happened, which only one game ever before managed... I wanted to see the Illusive Man dead... just like I wanted to see Sephinroth dead after killing Aerith, years ago in Final Fantasy 7...

2nd Mordins sacrifice / curing the genophage

3rd Thanes death

4th the conversation between Liara and Shepard, directly before their love scene

When I thought grunt was sacrificing himself, pure sorrow.

When he walked out alive? I screamed.

Thane's death, Mordin's Death, Legion's death and the final scene with Anderson are the ones that did it for me.

Okay, how about POSITIVE emotional response?

Kalros taking out the reaper on Tuchanka. I totally cheered and fist pumped IRL.

There were so many great moments but, and this is probably no surprise, my favourite had to be the goodbye between Garrus and FemShep, I still tear up thinking about it. It reassured me, made me sad, made me laugh a little, made me hopeful, encouraged me to finish the fight.. needed that at the end.

I think when Liara got invited up into my cabin to instill my name into the time capsule was the most well done scene in the entire game.

Dialogue was perfect, her description of you was perfect, the music was perfect, and the MOOD was PERFECT.

Tears me up everytime :crying:

Agreed. That's an amazing scene. Liara is the best

Breaking his sword and then killing him was worth the renegade points on my paragon build.  :D
