When I shot Mordin in the back (literally) to stop him from curing the Genophage. Watching him crawl across the ground while bleeding out, then watching him die right in front of the console with the Genophage still on his conscience... manly tears :crying:

Dude, some of the renegade options were F-ing brutal and made me ashamed of myself!  Another one that comes to mind is letting Samara shoot herself to "save" her daughter, and then killing her daughter anyway afterward.

lol,
I'am not looking forward to my renegade playthrough.

Mordin sacrificing himself to cure the genophage is one of the strongest moments in gaming history for me. I actually cried and i never cry when i play games. Close second though is Anderson dying., it's just so right with the mentor and the protogé sitting there and hearing "you did good child, you did good. I'm proud of you" almost made me bawl my eyes out a second time. Just so perfect

1. Liara's time capsule thing. It made me feel waaay better about facing death and defeat. And isn't the song in that scene just so POWERFUL?
2. Legion cannibalized for true geth individuality.
3. Killing Mordin (as I roleplayed ruthless colonist femshep)
4. Rejoicing krogan (male shepard, being myself this time, letting Mordin do his thing)

Mordin's death (I Paragoned it, so he made a noble sacrifice) and Liara's time capsule. I'm not even that attatched to Liara, that was just an AMAZING scene. It felt almost like something final. I felt like we were all ready to go down in a blaze of glory, but we still would have all died fighting and left our mark when a new galactic civilisation came along. The idea was extremely powerful. A black box for those who come after, because we'll all be gone...

Thane's death was moving too, but honestly I had some issues with it. I ended up having to actively overlook those issues in order to let myself moved by it, whereas the first two were straight-up flawless scenes.

Stopping the Quarians from getting their butts handed to them (again) by the geth, only to have Legion give up his life so his fellow synthetics could have their independence. I thought it was moving was how his last words before dying where "Keelah se'lai". Then seeing the geth elite walk up to Tali and the other ambassador and tell them that they could move back to Rannoch was pretty awesome. That whole scene was incredible to me.

EDIT TO ADD: Another part of the whole scene I thought was pretty nifty was where Shepard was imploring the Quarians to stop their attack, that they want peace, etc. After her spiel, there's a few second pause and you hear the Quarian Admiral chime in "All forces, stop the attack" (or whatever it was he said), causing Shepard to smile. Seeing as how much crap she had gone through and had rarely shown that kind of true happiness, I thought it was a nice touch.

The found much of the mission at Thessia very poignant.

-The multitude of carefully prepared bodies of honored dead at the drop zone was very impactful.

-The death of crews of those gunships that were supporting you. I fought hard and reloaded a couple times seeing if there was anything I could do to save Talon 5.

-Then as the close of the mission hearing position after position being overrun was very sad.

Talking to the asari councilor:

"I'm...

*feed gets cut*

...sorry."

Actually the entire Thessia mission was pretty emotional, IMO.

I didn't reload, but I thought about it during the mission. I charged the reapers to get their attention, but Talon 5 still was shot down. It was a suprisingly sad moment for me.

The biggest tear-jerkers were my friends/squadmates deaths and almost deaths. The only one I was completely detached from was Zaeed's death. Seeing Grunt almost die, seeing Mordin die, seeing Thane die, watching Legion sacrifice himself for the greater good... man that was rough.

I would never be able to shoot Mordin, or watch Tali kill herself. I would turn the game off, right then. Image IPB

Mordin's death was the only scene that carried over strong emotion into rerun of the game. However, the reaper kill on Ranoch got the loudest breach of my steely emotional resolve. I am sure as my neighbours really appreciated "take that you mother ******* piece of ****" being yelled at the top of my lungs at 6.30 in the morning.

In no particular order:

Tali's death.

Mordins death.

The talk of dying with Garrus.

The black box with Liara.

The very ending because I have never felt so empty, confused, and later angry/disappointed in anything I've read/watched/played before.

Mordin's death was beautiful, dutiful, personally redemptive..etc. But for some reason, thane's death caught me off guard and my eyes got watery when the prayer was "for you." **** like that gets to me lol.

Well, the extended dialogue between Shepard and Anderson at the end was powerful. Too bad it was cut down.

The time capsule moment - the moment I finally realized the Reaper threat.

So perfectly done, especially the music does its job so well. (Kudos to Sam Hulick)

I especially liked the time capsule scene because it amalgamated two things so beautifully:
The all overwhelming threat of impending extinction for humans and asari and here we see two representatives of their so different cultures, sharing a so very intimate moment:
you let someone else decide what to write down as the final words of what shall remain of you to the point when there is no one around anymore to tell about you. That will be what the universe shall remember of you.

Take that, Star Wars.

That scene where your fleets come through the mass relay to take back earth. So awesome. I especially love how they highlighted the Destiny Ascension if it survived ME1.

Didn't get to experience Thane's death due to what I'm guessing was a glitch in the ME2 -> ME3 import. I guess he imported as dead from ME2 but for me it was my final talk with Garrus before the final mission.

The best one is Mordin's death while curing genophage. I almost cried at this scene, it was totally epic.

Secondly, Shepard-Anderson dialogue just before ending while Anderson says ''I'm proud of you'' and you know what happens afterwards...

Lastly, choosing Geth over Quarians and death of Legion on Rannoch.
