Okay... now we're getting somewhere. What does your profile diagnostics say the error code is? Are you running Windows 7 64-bit? Is your Dragon Age: Origins Content Updater running in Windows services?



When your profile won't update anything, fix your firewall/internet settings.

When your profile only updates achievements and not characters, turn off the console.

When your profile no longer updates but used to, you may have reached your file limit.

It however seems for me, it only updates when I unlock a NEW Achievement. In other words: A charcter is upated when I unlock a new achievment with him. Only then.

Thatfore some of my new characters, have never been updated.

Profile updating still doesn't work right.



As in a way which doesn't need retardedly lot of steps to get it work just automatically once you start a game.



I've gone through all tricks and tips I've managed to find (at this point have to mention there's ton's of tips and tricks which provide no solution, just confuse more). And once I got started I have to say DA forums and FAQs are not clear at all. It's really difficult to find "stuff".

I finally got my profile to update my characters after 3 months by deleting all profile characters and forcing a reload, however I noticed 2 problems



1) A character that I had deleted from the game (no longer in my saved characters folder on my hard drive) is still showing up in "profile diagnostics" as a bad partial upload



2) Certain achievements like Heavy Hitter (my third character got it in the elven ruins with arrow of slaying, it's screenshotted, and character's "greatest damage dealt" reads well over 250), Crusher, etc are missing from the "story" of the characters I achieved them with, even though they show on my persona page. Is there any way to modify the story files to insert the achievements properly -without- being branded as a cheater?

I may have accidentally come up with a fix for this problem. i have been playing my new warrior for about 2 days now, I reached level 18 and did a bunch of things ( dlc, killed flemeth ) and nothing was being posted on the profile saying that i even had a second character. I had tried everything i could and was literally looking up a solution for this problem. I checked my profile and nothing still... Opened Dragon age... and instead of hitting play.. i clicked "website" in the autorun menu and BAM everything was up loaded.



Possible solution? Or very convenient timing... you guys be the judge and try that out,

I've noticed this seems to force an update as well, though I've never had problems to the degree others have.  I haven't tried testing it or anything, though.  Still, yeah, I think there's definitely something to it.

Thank you sir! Worked perfectly! Mine didn't update for 12 hours. Clicked website all of a sudden my elf and my beautiful female dwarf got updates!

My character profiles have't updated anything exept Achievements THIS YEAR! last update was in november 2009...



i only see an error code: 1005, no idea what it means or how to solve it.

and if u wonder, i only save manually, i never quicksave, manual goes faster in my opinion.

Also a very important thing to remember is that the storage space is limited to 100 files - every character should take 4 files (though if you have error 1005 it means one or more of your characters take more files than that) and every screenshot takes one file as well - you have 81 screenshots.  The fact is, you may not have more space left for upload (see the profile diagnostic to see how many files you have left).

I have been able to remove the error, and deleted all my screenshots(who needs them anyway??

i only don't know if the ones in the storage space will be removed then as well, since u (strangely) can't edit the ones in the online storage...



Anyway, thx for the help! now go check out my uber mage and Warrior!(assuming they have been uploaded the right way.)

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear: you don't have to delete the screenshots in game, just disable the upload function (options -> online tab -> upload screenshot). I meant the storage space here on this site is limited, so keep the ones in game, but delete some of the screenshots here to make more room (player profile -> manage screenshots).
If you like some of the screenshots that you deleted in game but still have here, you may copy them to a separate folder before you delete them here, just so you don't lose them completely.

I have both deleted and disabled the upload function for them since i never used them for anything anyway, at least both my chars are uploaded so its fine again

and one never knows what the future brings. might need the space for it then!

I have encountered a weird problem. I have experienced network problem a week before and one of my character cannot be updated. I keep trying in these days and even delete the char. However, he still cannot be updated. Today, when I check my profile page again, then I click the link "click here to view this user's other player profiles" accidentally. I find out there is a new profile appeared (which I haven't created as long as I recall). When I click that new profile, * bump * all of the previous unlocked achievements and the char along with three other chars are uploaded to that profile!



It is rather confusing. And, as this profile isn't my default profile. I cannot browse those characters until I click the link "click here to view this user's other player profiles". What can I do?

I deleted my character from the online profile (i' ve finished the game 2 times plus awakening, plus all dlc and it was still on level 1). I then tried the manual save thing, i never activated any console and still nothing... Is there a way to force the upload like the screenshots?

Worked for me! Instantly too. Went from level 4 in 2009 to level 22 currently.

Just to mentioned, images were uploaded and achieves done. Just was stuck at lvl 4...

It hasn't uploaded a current image shot though unfortunately. But it seems to have all my gear.

My profile finally updated after almost a year upon beating GoA, however it ony uploaded the character I used in that game, and a few screenshots. Every attempt since to upload other characters or screenshots has failed. I've played a few different characters, and none have uploaded, including a character I beat both Origins and Awakening with. I cannot manually upload screenshots at all- literally nothing happens when I select the screenshot and click the upload button, not an error message or even an attempt to upload. It's like the button is not connected to anything. However, achievements have been uploading instantaneously (as they have been all along)- for example, I romanced Morrigan tonight and obtained the achievement for that and for getting all romances. The achievements were uploaded to my profile within seconds, but the character I achieved them with is still missing.



I have opened the suggested ports, DA is not blocked by my firewall, I have tried the "click on website" trick- nothing is working. What am I doing wrong?

Did you also set your firewall to allow connection for daupdatersvc.service.exe? This executable image is located in Dragon Age main folder, under bin_ship subfolder.

Yes, I did. Just checked, it's already allowed connection.

I also had this problem. I spoke to EA Support and the guy found out that although the game was registered on Bioware's site it was not registered on EA website.

I gave him my serial key and the first one did not work:unsure: Lucky I had bought a second dragon age and that registered. Since he registered it for me my game has always updated and I don't get a login problem. I did the same for Awakening.

My stats are updating but my achievements standing still for 4 days now! I am stuck in 87 while today I hit 94 my in-game profile shows 94 but my site profile is still back in Friday 87!!!

Hey guys i got a problem, I've beat the game four times over with my four characters yet I cannot even get my Profile uploaded, let alone updated. I have registered the game, yet when i click upload profile it says "no data has been uploaded from xbox 360" Now i also made sure the box was checked for uploading the data to the EA server, and my internet is strong and my firewall is open, what can be the reason for this, and are there any solutions? Your opinons are welcomed.

I am playing few days and unlocked few achievments (which are visible in my website profile), but there still 0 characters. Can anybody help me with uploading my character, please? (DA - Ultimate - Digital - Amazon)
