they added a new button to the character profile, diagonstics, mine said unable to connect to online storage. So, what can be done about that?

Here is what is happening now... I logged onto my online profile from ingame (new birthdate entry thing). I get to the page and log in, going to my profile. I now have 49 achievements there (instead of the 34 that have been showing). Still no characters or screenshots. And there is the new button. So I clicked it - and on the diagnostic page it says Error Code 1000, no characters, 0 files out of 100 and so on.
I went to my online profile and checked the forums - then used the link back to player profile (My Games/Dragon Age Origins PC) and I'm back to 34 achievements. When I clicked the diagnostic link it took me to a page that did NOT have an error message, listed 7 characters and said there were 72 screenshots, with 100 out of 100 files. When I clicked on manage characters and manage screenshots none were there. But the characters listed WERE characters (most now deleted).
When I used the BACK key on my browser, I got back to the first player profile page (with 49 achievements, etc). It seems I have 2 profile pages, one empty, the other both empty and full at the same time (files there according to diagnostic, but not appearing on page).
So what is the problem? And are others who've described similar problems to mine having this issue now? Why are there 2 different pages? What is going on and can it be fixed?

WRONG: 0 characters (ok, I've deleted them a week ago), achievements from Nov 24th
RIGHT: 4 characters (it was 5, one couldn't upload, timeout thing), achievements from... yesterday.
Still, I can't use the imagens as avatars, seems like this and many site funcions gets the info from WRONG (outdated) database.

*waves hand* Same problem! However, I've done the following: 1) delete the .ini; 2) not use the console (I was); 3) load from the launcher rather than the .exe. I don't have time to leave the game up and let it communicate with the BW servers, so I'll have to let it do so tomorrow and check if it worked. I'll let y'all know. It supposedly got my screenshots uploaded (haven't seen them yet, however), so we'll see. We'll see indeed. Because, frankly, I'm sick of my characters being stuck at lvl 1, and my dwarf with no picture. xD
Congratulations on level 13
Yes, it did work, didn't it? *is proud* So I guess it involves ALL of the fixes, including switching equipment and re-saving. I'll do that this afternoon on all my characters so the one in my profile picture will be up to date. Seriously, when I last saw her, she'd completed the main quest and was wearing some big, fancy silvery armor. And my dwarf needs her picture. xD

Can I suggest some kind of forced upload function in the next patch? It worked with the old Character Creator.

The ultra-quick reference on the error codes:
* "too many files" - not a problem unless you've maxed out your space, in which case deleting screenshots and any characters with too many files will resolve it
* "too few files" - your game is NOT UPLOADING DATA, and you need to try things like changing equipment, manually re-saving, etc to get it to do so.
* no characters listed at all - your game is NOT UPLOADING DATA, and you need to try things like changing equipment, manually re-saving, etc to get it to do so. Alternately you could have multiple gamertags/accounts involved, at which point that needs to be resolved
* everything is reported as okay but things are out of date - this could be because your game hasn't uploaded data lately, in which case do the same as "too few files". It could also be something else, in which case please post over in the social.bioware.com site help forum with details and we will investigate.

when i ran profile diag, i got this message: " Unable to connect to the on-line storage server. " I use to be able to but started having update problems, and i did try deleteing ini, never used the cheate mode, always manually saved, changed equipment and saved.
This is a temporary error message ... try again in a few minutes; that usually works for me.

For anyone still having problems, please check the new "Profile Diagnostics" page linked from your DA player profile. If it reports any errors, your problem is with the game not uploading things correctly and not with this website. We're working on a list of solutions to the common problems.

Any answer to why I see i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy192/Irthos_Valeth/profile-1.jpg in the full profile page and get i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy192/Irthos_Valeth/profile-error.jpg when I really open the profile?

The first one shows things uploaded and associated with your email address/account, the second shows info associated with a particular "persona"(like a gamertag) playing the game - you apparently have 3 dragonage personas on your account, something that is supposed to be impossible (but clearly isn't). We're working on some code to let you choose between whatever personas you have, but that's not quite ready yet. Can you please provide details on any specific errors you might have gotten from the game relating to signup/login?

But it still uploads achievements and it's obviously uploaded a few characters at some points.
And before anyone asks, yes, the game is registered and I have access to all my DLC, including what I've bought.

Only error code I'm currently getting is "1004 - No story xml file uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server."
Edit: And then only on 5 out of 7 uploaded characters. But all of the uploaded characters are characters I don't play with, so the obvious issue is that it still doesn't upload characters.

I get this message, but I already deleted the characters and screenshots, there are none there but I still get the message (please see my post above). Neither of my two profile pages (eek) has any characters or screenshots showing, but the diagnostic in one of them SAYS 7 characters and 74 screenshots are there, with files maxed out. I cannot delete them because I already did.
* no characters listed at all - your game is NOT UPLOADING DATA, and you need to try things like changing equipment, manually re-saving, etc to get it to do so.
I get this too. And have done all those things and more. Nothing resolves the issue.
Alternately you could have multiple gamertags/accounts involved, at which point that needs to be resolved
As I stated above, I seem to have two pages/accounts/whatever. I didn't create two, so I don't know how it happened. I already had a bioware account (from previous bioware games) and also already had an EA account (from previous EA games) when DAO was released. When I first logged in here, my email address was recognised and my Bioware account came up. Could there be a problem because of this? That is, do I now have and EA profile page and a Bioware one? And in any case, how do I resolve it?

And can you delete them please? One is probably my mate's, I scold him already about that. I don't have information about the third one... maybe my old bioware account? Even so, I can't remember name/password...
IF you could look at the PM I've sent you, I'll be thankful.
If I manage to get login/password and then do a "delete acount" with both of them, maybe problems will go away?

Edit: I used the method mentioned previously on this thread. I go to the online profile through the in-game menu and the profile diagnostic show 2 characters (which is correct) and 22 scrshots. If I got to my profile throgh this forum, I got no character and no scrshots. I looked at the URL, and both have a different persona ID.
How can I solve this? Can you just set my profile to use the persona that have my 2 characters?

I also has 1 character (Rocky) with 2 error messages,
1003 , No portrait image uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server.
1004 , No story xml file uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server.
this character is listed on line as level 1 and no exp. in game he is level 10, how can this be cured.
