I can SEE my newest character on the "Dragon Age Player Profile Diagnostics" page, with green check marks for Character XML, Portrait Image, Avatar Image, and Story XML but I don't have access to that portrait nor do I see that character on my Profile page. Any ideas?


(In addition, there are six characters on the "Dragon Age Player Profile Diagnostics", but only two show up on my Profile page. Admittely, I 'deleted' three characters and, indeed, those character faithfully have red "X"s under Avatar Image on the "Dragon Age Player Profile Diagnostics" page and don't show up on my Profile Page. Darn if I know how I am supposed to delete them completely, however.)


Edit:  Last time my Profile was updated was Dec. 5.  Which is odd, since my newest character is only a couple days old and it's on the "Dragon Age Player Profile Diagnostics".  Just too weird.

I get this error as well. All was working fine till the 16th then it stop fully updating. Say my last update was the 16th and that I am level 11. But it is adding in my achievements well some of them. It has added in dragon slayer which I got 3 days ago, I just seen on my profile. If I go to online profile from in the game it open the webpage and says it cannot find profile for ~@:$ A lot of the time if I then hit the link it give me I go to my profile??? If I then hit profile diagnostics I get cannot access the update server or it does go to my profiles say XML and so are all ok green tick then error code 1005.



I think that Bioware just did not understand the number of save game file player would be using and so the server just cannot get up. It would not hurt to just have one update a day. Which is better than nothing.



I also had the save game bug and lot about 6 hour of play. I have delete out of the game a number of save game files has any one ells no this?



Also I have had a look with the tools kit at the save game files I cannot help but notes that the date my profile stop full up date was the day I first used it?



Anyone ells see this as well as me?

dbt-kenny, there is a mention in the FAQ that it won't update the profile unless someone has looked at it recently.  That may be where our problems arise.  Very soon after all my flurry of activity trying to get my new character photo uploaded, lots of profile changes happened.  (although I am with you, that it's odd that acheivements upload when nothing else seems to.)

Well I just sent a friend a link to my profile and guess what he got a error message saying



“ The specified game does not support online player profiles”



I tried the link on my laptop and got the same error message after I had to put in my date of birth very odd. Me think the online profiles for this game are well messed up bet it will not be fix till well into next year.

My profile stats and portrait hasn't updated for over 2-3 weeks.. only the achievements are being updated (instantly)



Have we got any responses from Bioware about this problem?

pigfat say your is now upto date by the look of it. trying looking a mine profile lets see if that will kick mine into a update as we had no responese from Bioware at all about this.

We should be more tolerant, because this is a *very old* forum.
Despite all inconveniencies of such an aged board I am thankful, because it showed me, that I obviously was one of the first users, although with little success.

Guys, I read numerous of threads yesterday, and I ended up:

• Disabling my firewall during my play of DA
• Deleted my character by going to Manage Character (this only delete the files on the Bioware Social website, it DOESNT delete your saved game. Doing this will allow the server to redownload your stats from your computer)
• Disabling the developer console (yes, I'm dirty:()
• (and possibly having you guys looking at my profile)

And my profile has updated.



I've looked at both of your profiles Baher and kenny. Let's hope yours updates too.

Same problem here. I've only been playing for about 6 hours so far (only got it Christmas Day ) but none of my characters have updated. Deleted all characters uploaded to my profile from the Character Creator, entered my current 2 games (mage and rogue) and saved for both, but nothing has updated



Like several of you, my achievements are updating straight away. It's everything else that hasn't moved beyond 0 yet...

well this make me angry, my story isnt updated then im finished a game at 24lv, i tried delete my online character profile, but now it isnt updated ( saved a game like 10 hours ago ) should i upload my old character from the DA character creator?



but funny, i uploaded a mage, he is 5lv atm and his story updating till lv2 and a warrior still has a 1005 error >< have no idea what happened, tried all things like deleting ini etc

I think we can look at our own profiles to get them to update, as I did get an update (after looking at my own profile) while my 'Profile Views' counter was still at 0.

Nope Ambeth i did try that did not work for me. I looked 3 days in a row and nothing. Also my counter has gone up from yesterday but my profile has not update today at all.



agelico i look at you profile as well showing your Achievements but no Characters and no update after the 20th.

My profile was never updated I tried many solutions but still nothing I have here only characters uploaded by Character Creator...

My profile hasn't updated in so long it isn't even funny. I think it's because I play the game off line so much maybe? When I take my laptop with me to my job site, i don't have an internet connection. Although that doesn't explain why it doesn't update when I get home.

Edit: Just checked my page. My achievements are current but my character pages haven't updated since 11/26!?

My game has NEVER put my information on the website and I've registered it!  It doesn't even offer me the option to Upload it to the site.  It just sits there blank saying it has nothing uploaded.  What's going on?

It sucks that only my first 2 characters were updated correctly (all green checks on the profile diagnostics page). All the other characters after them were never updated properly No avatar, no portrait image, with both red "X" marks on them.... orange exclamation point symbol on Story XML, so irritating. I even tried copying the portrait & avatar images and saving them with a new filename, and then editing the XML file: (Portrait="Violet_portrait2.png" from the original Portrait="Violet_portrait.png" ), but still portraits & avatars do not get uploaded and displayed. I also have never used mods or activated the console. I deleted those characters with errors on my profile and I tried to reupload them but it still didn't work

These are the errors I get:

1004 - No story xml file uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server.
1002 - No avatar image uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server.
1003 - No portrait image uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server.

Man I hope someone finds a solution for this. I haven't tried the firewall trick yet but  maybe I wil later

I also wish that we could just MANUALLY upload our character data (portrait,avatar,story) since the game can't even upload it :|

I haven't used any mods or the console either Metallica, it's beyond frustrating. I just got the Heavy Hitter achievement earlier today and it updated almost immediately. I have characters that I've created that don't show up at all.
