And I don't mean it in a "Hell NO, Dragon Age will never become an MMO" kind of way.
I for one would love to see an MMO in the Dragon Age setting.

Reading the aforementioned sentence about made me sh*t on my keyboard and submit the keystrokes as a response. At any rate, you should already realize I disagree with you on this topic.
In my opinion, to create an MMO today is to submit to mediocrity. Consider the quality of Dragon Age: Origin's dialogue, consistency of the plot, and versatility of your characters' abilities, storylines, and secular impact on the storyline. Now imagine that placed in a blender, watered down, then served to the once proud BioWare fan base over the course of 3-6 years.
NO SIR I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!!

Maybe you are delusional?tiagopestana wrote...
If you guys think that the words "Dragon Age" and MMO haven't been used in the same sentence at Bioware's headquarters you are being completely delusional.
I vote yes to multiplayer/persistant world - big no to mmo.

I'm glad if there is at least one laid-back, good and atmospheric singleplayer game I can experience from my comfy couch once every few years. We need more good offline games, not more mmos... It's bad enough even BioWare pulls along with it.
This is a horrible trend.

It would ruin the game world as everyone will be Grey Wardens and the story to it all.

Not to mention EA would probably try to charge 19.95 per month. Well it may not fail entirely but it would go the way of a game like Warhammer. So much potential but kind of fizzles out in a couple months. EA has their name all over that game.
I love the Warhammer lore use to play the table top RPG from Games Workshop, no not the table top battles but the PnP RPG like D&D.
EA and Mythic destroyed that game and love for it with their MMO of it. It has no background story, no uniquesness to it in anyway what so ever. The graphics are bad as well as the game play. RvR is a watered down version of Mythics Dark Age of Camelot MMO which is a whole lot better than WAR.
EA also own Ultima Online as well and look at what they have done to that fine game

People on this forum are ridiculous when it comes to MMO's. It won't hurt your gaming experience, and this game has alot of MMO potential, that much is clear. I personally enjoy GOOD mmo's and would not mind to try this game out in MMO form.
I agree but first you need to show me an MMO in recent years that was actually good.

I think we can all see where you're coming from here. Fair comment, really.

I don't know if I like the idea of an MMO where you then have to balance things like PvP, loot, etc.
And we do have a MMO coming up from Bioware in future: Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I don't even play WoW but my brother does and I've seen it (No idea how that cartoony excuse of an MMO is the #1 but whatever)
But since thats star wars based it can't dethrone WoW
Actually nothing can dethrone WoW people are simply ignorant and WoW has mainstream advertising that all the other games do not have
It is possible that FFXIV could dethrone it if they spam advertise it everywhere , but not likely because FFXI didn't dethrone it
Edit : If there was a Dragon Age MMO I would definantley want to play it , but it would have to be alot deeper than DA:O is , the level would have to go far beyond 25 , would have to be more than 3 classes and preferably more than 4 races , would need way more talents and more varied equipment looks too
Speaking of FFXIV I fully intend to get that game and play it obsessivley , if they don't put it on Xbox 360 then I will likely go even as far as to buy a PS3 just so I can play it

Other random dude: "F U noob!!1@@!"
Other random dude: "I heardd u can find the mod on www.megatechno****.com"
