To be able to see someone say "I don't give a **** about Sony" and from that come to the conclusion that, "Yes, he's clearly a Sony fanboy requires a level of willfull ignorance that even the comment's section of Youtube rarely sees. You are so rabidly stupid that I will literally die with no hope for humanity. I actually had a post in response to yours, refreshed the page, saw your second post, and immediately gave up. I argue with a religious friend of mine about the most insipid things, and I even have the patience for him. The things you've just displayed have single handedly disproven survival of the fittest and evolution.

I am so mentally damaged after trying to take your posts seriously now that I'm going to go cry. I'm out. God have mercy on the souls of the people you deal with every day. I am now a 100% supporter of eugenics for the mentally handicapped.

That last part certainly seems self-serving.

Yes, you're not a sony fanboy, you just have an overwhelming bias towards not blaming Sony in any way, shape, or form. All of your responses show this very clearly. You can deny it, the same way you deny anything else that's obvious to more mentally astute individuals, because that's what this entire thread has been for you: a marathon of denial.

Let's illustrate:

@Dewart- I'm not placing blame anywhere as my beliefs, while back up
with some evidence, are still only speculation. I believe the main issue
here rests heavier on Bioware's side
because "technical limitations"
does not jive. One lie begets another.

Contradiction within the same paragraph.

Assuming Sony is in control of free events on their platform:
Why would they not approve of a promotion already approved of by competitors?
Why would Sony actively deny their users free content?
What are these other games that are suffering? (Other than exclusivity deals?)

Immediately jumping to Sony's defense. Mechanically. You aren't going to fool anyone by pretending to be impartial, you are clearly looking to blame Bioware. That's why you started this new thread and abandoned your old thread which was directly trying to blame Bioware, and play at the "I'm not a fanboy but" theme.

And I'm not going to, once again, point out how stupid the "exclusivity deal" theory is. If you didn't think it through beyond trying to rationalize your blame of anyone but Sony, going so far as to blame a completely unrelated company for the issue. "A problem between Bioware and Sony? Must be Microsoft's fault, hurr durr."

This is your logical conclusion: In an issue between sony or bioware, you have said that it could be Bioware's fault, or Microsoft's fault. Sony isn't even possible to blame in your mind! How hilariously biased could you possibly be?

I think it's a bit ironic, that you want two professional companies to give you a "straight answer" for blame, while you're trying so hard to hide your obvious bias. You want them to throw blame around, while you pretend to be on moral high ground. Hilarious!

Here's the fact of the matter: They're two professional, massive companies. They are business partners. They work together. They're not going to blame one another like some kind of ignorant forum-poster with no common sense. They are going to use vague terminology specifically to avoid placing blame and causing reputation damage to their business partner. They are displaying professional courtesy.

Get it through your thick skull they're not going to come out with the finger-pointing, inflammatory accusation you're demanding.

I don't want a blame game, i want an answer from Bioware that explains the issue. The point you make is invalid, just because one fails with a technical fault does not mean it's a problem with that Network, it may indicate a problem with the way they go about it do to poor implimentation.

However, feel free to lay out the network for me. Don't worry, i'll understand, it's what i do for a living, design networks that is.

You design networks and thats great. Unless you design networks for ea or sony your profession doesn't mean anything here.

You are throwing out a lot of speculation in your posts about how the EA and PSN networks work. Just because you know how to design set up a network does not mean you know exactly how the EA and PSN networks work.

You don't know any more than the rest of us on this subject so please stop acting like you do.

And honestly, why would a Bioware employee even respond to this thread?

Exactly. Especially when they have already given an answer pointing you toward sony. Go bug sony until they say something on the matter and if they blame bioware come back here. you won't get any answers by attacking one side.

Aside from a possible and unlikely need for a centralized database for gross community stats for just the events, the tech involved is not the case. "Technical issues" is likely a blanket term. My thoughts are still on backroom politics being at play.

EDIT: And before you say LEADERBOARDS, those are not connected to Event requirements. In fact, ME3's only track a single bit of Data, the N7 rank. These events track other requirements.

Ok , i won't say leaderboard.
The event tracks your decision to promote and counts those decisions.

I give you Rating.
Everytime your promote your Rating on this very website increases by 1.
Enough of an indicator to see if i promote or not :kissing:

You are still skirting my point that the networkmay not be the issue at all, instead its an issue of contracts.

Not at all, I am basing that on Bioware's only words on this issue which were "Technical Limitations". The word Limitation indicates that Bioware is saying the PS3 is not capable of doing what is required, which in many posts has already been disputed with facts.
If this is indeed a contractual issue then  can perfectly accept that, from a statement from Bioware. However, that still does not take away the fact that they knowingly sold the inferior game at the same cost as others.

What a network "can" do and what a network is "allowed" to do are two totally different things. As somebody pretending to be a network technician, you should probably pretend to have known that.

For all those unhappy with the thread, just ****ing leave.

The ps3 users here who want to know why we are being ****ed and have respect for our wallets and want to know why we are getting an inferior product will continue to post at no harm/cost/annoyance to the rest of you. Stop ****ing arguing. All we know is ps3 is getting ****ed. Everything else is speculation. So if this thread hurts you so much, GTFO.

More useless assumptions.

Bottom line is that there are technical restrictions when promoting anything on the PS3/PSN. Part of the problem is that Sony requires themselves to be a co-publisher on all PSN promotional content, as it's considered advertising.

Seriously, this is not the first instance of the PS3 lagging behind in gaming promotions. In fact, it's pretty common. In the end, it's the policies that Sony has laid out that make this a harder process than it should be. Not everything is tea & crumpets; just like MS has a complicated Certification process for game updates that occassionally makes getting patches out problematic.

This is a Sony issue. Wanna do something about it? Complain on their forum like COD players, who actualy found success.

This.

Aside from possibly not wanting to discuss it if it's contractual, why is it so hard to ask nicely?  Just look at the title and OP: snark, speculation, and aggressive.  The way arguements are phrased matters.

Honestly, I don't think you will get any clear answer on this issue. But as every special DLC have been Xbox 360 and PC only I guess this as something to do with it.

Yes you PS3 players are missing out on events. Yes I understand you are angry. No I don't agree it's likely all bioware's fault.

You will probably find more answers putting pressure on your console's manufacturer. You might have a decent chance finding the truth if you band together and put pressure on EA. Bioware has likely said all they are allowed to say so you likely won't hear more until you start pushing in other directions.

Repeating this type of thread over and over probably won't get you answers that's all I am saying.

asking bioware the same question over and over and over isn't exactly nice. Especially when there are 2 other companies involved. sounds more like harassment.
