This thread makes my head hurt. In fact every thread in which PS3 users attempt to explain their frustrations and search for salient answers makes my head hurt.
There are 2 types of post that should be present in this thread:
1/ Posts from PS3 users concerning the fact they are being provided with an inferior experience to their 360/PC gaming counterparts who (rightfully) feel that they need to express their discontent, and
2/ Responses from people who can shed light on the problems and level with the PS3 community as to what the issues are and when they anticipate them being resolved. In other words, BioWare employees who KNOW what is going on.
Posts that offer nothing but speculation, conjecture and varying degrees of ridicule are completely wasted here. Why even bother? Personally, I'm not asking for a fix or for us to be involved in these events, although that is the long-term goal. Rather, I just want a little transparency so we know where we stand. That is why I continue to post in these threads - I hope that if BioWare see enough of us they might be reasonable and open up something of a dialogue before they end up alienating a significant portion of their fanbase. Anything that doesn't contribute to this end is just a waste of space on this thread IMHO.
Also, and I know I'm guilty of doing exactly what I asked people not to do here, but I did contact Sony. Twice. The response I got the first time was that Sony had no idea what I was talking about or that BioWare had made a request to run an event over PSN. This was following our exclusion from Operation: Goliath. The second call (made around the time Operation: Fortress was live) consisted of me being passed from pillar to post in an attempt to find out if we would be able to participate in future BioWare events. I may as well have been speaking Latin.
I appluad you sir!
I'm not even being sarcastic. You actually got something or at least tried to get something done. Now you guys should contact EA (Not Bioware) and see if they can give you info.
