Excluding PS3 makes sense.

Packs are directly related to bioware. Could be a communication problem between servers. Sorta like how ea servers have a problem with routers and nat.

It would be nice to know the exact problem of which we are faced with. I'm not annoyed that I don't get a free pack, I'm annoyed that I am left in the dark.

maybe with BW bc with EA they havent if you have bf3 you can check all your stats on battlelog, with cod in cod elite, with fifa to, i have no idea if this is the problem with mass effect.

Theres no problem when it's xp related. But once items are added there is.

See the problem is it is a bioware product, so the onus falls on them, they can blame it on Sony but without stating the exact reason why they are just mudslinging (transferring the blame elsewhere).
And you will get the fans from both sides saying "it's not their fault, its the other guys" when no proof has been presented that either side is actually to blame- silly stupid people (My own prejudice towards EA makes me iffy about BW)
The fact is some of us have chased it up, asked questions and BW go silent.
Not asking for a fix (though that would be the next step) but just some information from BW about what is going on.

I just cannot fathom how people can believe there is this massive conspiracy on the part of Bioware against the PS3. How can you not logically see Bioware would do everything their power to try to make their costumer base happy? You keep saying, "Name me one source for..." Name me one source of a proven "Backroom deal" to snub players who bought a game on one system because a company of another platform made a "secret" deal. Who the hell believes crap like this?
It sounds like Playstation/Sony has a set of rules for what it is willing to allow its developers to do to their game which could cover any number of issues. Bioware designed several events which seems to fall outside of those sets of rules (Goliath/Raptor), and some that do not (The EXP multiplier weekend). It does suck that Sony isn't more flexible with its rules, but I would rather neat prizes and events take place than Bioware sticking only to "PS3 Approved" events at the cost of PC/X-box users, who I will go out on a limb and say outnumber PS3 users when combined.
Yes, that is speculation. I've yet to see a better line of logic being put forth beyond, "Microsoft/Bioware Conspiracy" or some sort of vague notion of Bioware purposely excluding Sony.
This. And also the fact that the PC/Xbox users got screwed over with another 9 months of waiting for ME3, because there were issues when ME2 launched last year with ME3's engine on the PS3 and it failed big time.
Thank you for that, and for being indirectly responsible for the awful ending we got tacked with, because Sony doesn't think before they act. Releasing proper dev tools, on time mind you, would make life for companies like Bioware so much easier, and all you fanboys and other consumers would have a broader catalog of games from which to choose from.
Thank you and good night.

Bonus XP has nothing to do with tracking. That's a completely different function altogether than dealing with items, packs, and tracking stats.

Nope I just know sonys history. They don't do multi platform community events like you are seeing in mass effect. I asked 2 other ps3 owners if they ever encounters events like this. They said nope. So yeah...
You're a very ignorant fellow. CODMW3 and CODBO included the PS3 in weekend events.
All EA games besides this one 'takes data' on what you do.
What BioWare is telling the PS3 owners makes no sense.
Werent those just xp events? And the last fortress or whatever was a xp event at 25% and that was allowed on the ps3
For this game yes. For others you have Community Events. The biggest one is Call of Duty and other is Uncharted (I didn't mention that one since I was keeping to third party only).
So yes its possiable. So the only thing I'm hearing is that BioWare can't do it because its a 1) Legal Issue they have with an outside source or with Sony; or 2) They're thrid rate developers

man im talking about events in general, +xp are easy to make, what im saying is lots of games are actually tracking everythin g you do on psn, and the problem we have know according to bioware fans is that sony doenst allow tracking from 3 party.
ps3 user arent been left out in xp events they are left out in killing brute events which need to be tracked and in this promote event which bw is already tracking in this same page ( my games-mass effect 3), so what im saying is even games from EA can track all you do, but bw and sony are havinga problem with mass effect 3 and that the issue here, we dont now what problem yet.

It was a ****ty MMO? But it was the only MMO with a real budget that allowed you to craft your own items and sell to others allowing for game changes? Not a MMO that copied that other famous MMO that others refer to as warcrack?
Yeah I remember that MMO. Not my cup of tea.
Also TBH honest with you PS3 owners they should really fix others issues with this game before they fix this whole community events deals. IE game freezes, game black outs, choppy framerates, the muddy textures (which you can find in pretty much almost all Unreal Engine games), etc etc.

wow
lest blame the sp3 bc mass effect 3 end sucks, nice one, if i remeber correctly mass effect end got leaked more than 8 month ago, even more it wasnt the ps3 version the one that was leaked, so saying and BW itslef said they changed the end bc of the leak, blame BW so saying "Thank you for that, and for being indirectly responsible for the awful
ending we got tacked with, because Sony doesn't think before they act. it makes no sense at all.
is not our fault if BW decide to win more money with mass effect and deliver the agme in the ps3, i know bc i also have a xbox 360 that ps3 suck in the dev. department and i ahve mass effect 1,2 and 3 in my xbox 360 and me 2 and 3 on my ps3, but if a dev decides to make a make they must doa good job, you will ask the same of a book, a movie, if they get translated to another language for example.
even more you 2 have been tunring this thread into a fanboy war since it got started, why you come here if you dont have anything good to add...this is a ps3 users problem if you can help and give real clues of what is going on with real facts and proofs and not just i know it all but i cant prove anything i say ....
this thread got alittle nasty before and thing calm down and you two come back again making console war arguments like you have done all along this thread just to keep the people away from the real issue.
maybe you both need help to understand what the op and countless more haven been traying to said, we just want a real answer, that all.
english isnt my real language , i think i was pretty clear of what i think, you guys should atleast try to keep things calm in here and not start a console war, bc that is not the problem here.

when a developer makes a game for a platform tehy shoudl do it right or dont do it at all, is plain simple.
i know the ps3 sucks in the dev. department, the cell processor just sucks, this is why almost all my multiplats are in my xbox, i also have mass effect 3 in the xbox and ps3, but xbl is really expensive in my country and im paying my dentist degree in impalnts so i cant lost to much money on gaming right now.
even more i think ps3 user havent been mad enough, after finish both version of mass effect 3 (xbox and ps3) on the singleplayer i can only say bw didnt did a good job on the ps3, im not talking about graphics im talking about lots of bugs, freezes, crappy fps and more, i know a part of that is bc the ps3 isnt that good but i have played game with better graphics and more thing going on in the screen and thy all work a lot better .
when a awesome dev. company like BW deliver a game i only want their best effort and work and all i can say is that im ahppy i own both versions bc BW did screw the ps3 users this time but they got mine and their money.

Please don't lump everyone into the same lame category. It's pretty insulting to cool and sexy Xbox owners like myself who just love games and don't give a rats ass what console you play on.
Anyway my condolences to PS3 owners who are getting shafted once again. Hopefully they'll get this all sorted out soon and maybe you'll even get some kind of compensation pack for your troubles.

That is just it though, you have presented no evidence. You are just jumping to BioWares defence like a good little pet.
And as stated other such events have happened on the PS3 (Some post hack) just fine.
The one I can think of is my favourite- white knight chronicles II, the store gets its items updated and changed daily (some new unique items and equipment to)
They also have access to large chunks of your information (for leaderboards, guild leaderboards and accessing geonet).
When you can present some ACTUAL evidence that it is on sony's end then speak about it- I would be interested to see it, considering BW hasn't been specific on what the issue is.
