I have a sinking feeling Bioware is going to give us the same corporate run around and not tell us anything new or concrete at PAX.

It is a distinct possibility. But we have made our point and said our peace. All we can do now is hold the line and wait.

I am being optimistic.

Bioware DOES have great writers, and the rest of the game was stellar IMO.

Casey is a good guy, and I can imagine this has been a rough month for him.

I know they can do better, and the fact that they are doing something about it is encouraging.

Even if PAX is just an announcement of the Ending DLC announcement to come later in April, I'm ready to wait patiently. Re-playing ME1 and ME3 MP in the meantime.

And post proof threads. Tons and tons of proof threads.

I'm a Cynic. The audience at PAX will be screened to ensure no one asks about the ending, and it'll all be "CHECK OUT THE RETAKE OMEGA DLC! YOUR CHOICES MATTER!" *Trollface*

I also have a bad feeling. These are volatile times we are now living in.

True. But its up to EA if alternative/extended ending DLC is greenlighted or no. And that worries me even more.

"This, is what we face"

I feel a great disturbance in the Mass Effect Fields...

I feel bad for whichever developers end up sitting on that panel. This will not be pretty.

I have the same feeling. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong and that they come through. But I wouldn't be surprised if the endings weren't addressed at all.

Not sure what to think, but sadly I don't think your pessimism is unwarranted, OP.

I won't believe this statement until I see PROOF.

This, basically.

I'm confident Bioware is aware of the fact fans will be deeply upset if they give us the runaround, so they're going to at least say something to set us at ease for the time being.

If not... yeah, there will be a lot of rage on these forums I can promise you that. I won't be participating in it, but I imagine it will be painful for everyone if this happens.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath about anything. I'm expecting PAX to be a bunch of people saying the same things Ray and Casey said and then there being a huge uproar in the crowd.

The disavowed Patrick Weekes post, if true, also encourages me because it tells me that some of the best writers understand why the current ending was unsatisfying.

I think they'll do something cool, but I also think they'll find a way to throw some type of backhanded message into whatever it is they announce. They are a very passive aggressive company based on the PR statements, tweets, message board responses etc...

I feel bad because I know there will be at least one idiot fan there that ruins the experience for everyone involved.

This.

I'm of two minds right now.
1).  BioWare = good!!
2).  Audience screening...it's what I would do...

People shouldn't get their expectations up for anything beyond "we have received your feedback and are will take it into consideration etc." Omega DLC announcement is a more likely scenario.

Agree. When sending cupcakes is considered insulting and inappropriate it doesn't bode well for a company's grasp on reality.

For me PAX is simply the point where I will stop caring and move on if they do a corporate PR number.

I like staying civil, I love sending cupcakes, but at some point something needs to come back or the product and the company are not worth my time anymore.

I told myself mkay I'll wait what they'll come up with then, and if it's nothing, they just won't see any $$$ out of me ever again.

If all they do is say "About the endings, we hear you and we are working on it. That's all I can say right now but we'll have more info in a few weeks". I'd be content for now.
