I've read about some stuff and would like to ask what's true about these types of weapons as I'm yet unsure of it.
What's going on with Daggers, Shortbows, Longbows and Crossbows? How much damage do they get from which stats and which stats increase their chances to hit? What happens with Dexterity,Cunning and Strength in regard to these weapons?
I haven't tried archery appart from very basic stuff, and I've also never played a dagger focused rogue yet, and as I'm currently building one and giving a shot on these types of weapons, I'd like to know a little more in regard to how to build my heroes...

Ah, btw, I'm running the 1.01b patched version. I think that there's a difference between that and 1.0, right?

As I understand it, crossbows don't currently get a damage bonus at all.
Daggers and Longbows are supposed to hav their damage bonus based on 50% Dex and 50% Str, but that's broken, so now they're all Str (there's a hotfix for that, but applying it serves primarily to make the game harder because the hotfix works for enemies too).
Shortbows are 100% Dex.

I read something about cunning too... You sure Shortbows are 100% dex?

Btw, what exactly does it mean when people say that Longbow damage is 50% strength and 50% dex based?
Can it be that it's (Strength-10)/2 + (Dex-10)/2 ?
Would that be the case, doesn't it mean that it takes 2 points in 1 stat to increase damage by 1(Which despite the added other stat could mean a nerf in damage as it now scales at half the speed)... Though dex is needed for attack, so balance should come from the added dex, I guess...
Can someone give the long version of mechanics for 1.0, 1.0.1 and plans for future in a sticky or something? Or add a link to such a discussion?
