I recently beat mass effect 3 collectors edition so I thought I'd redeem the code I paid for. I redeemed it and started downloading it when I finally had time but every time it downloads it says download has completed and go to the game menu to install it. When start to install it it goes rather slow but when it reaches 14% every time it comes up with an error code 80029564 or something so I do everything imaginable. I upgraded my HDD I reconfigured my router I plugged it directly into my modem. I've deleted the game data file rebuilt my ps3 database restored my file system I'll add that I've been able to download other dlc/games larger than the 583mb of from ashes with no problems but every time I try to get this one single piece of content that I paid for it doesn't work and I don't know what else to do.
I cant install the from ashes dlc on my ps3

Try re down loading it might help.I have no idea otherwise i refuse to buy dlc for this game when its in such a mess.

It happened for me many times (with files larger than 6GB!). It's because during the download the PS3 or the internet connection unexpectedly shuts down. Try to redownload it without selecting "Download in the background" and without turning off the router/PS3.

OK I've tried downloading without downloading in background and that didn't work. I don't get what you mean by not turning off my router I've never done that. I'll try again some other time but I think it might be my home entertainment set up. My ps3 is on the bottom of a T.v stand right next to a sub-woofer in the direction of the router. Idk but i haven't had these problems until recently when i tried downloading saints row 2 for 3 nights. And that was after i got my new surround sound.

It is weird. The error means that the file is corrupted, it is either the fault of the internet connection or the PS3 HD. However if you say that others contents downloaded are installed correctly, it may be a coincidence, the file itself or the Playstation Store.
