Seriously, why not? S/he can get his/her freak on with a variety of weird aliens (Drell, Turian etc.) but not a mature human female? What if Shep prefers older women? Do I detect a hint of ageism here, that Shep can only romance the young? (Samara was no-go too <_< )
 
And don't say it's because she's a minor character; Traynor, Allers and Kelly were hardly pivotal either but Shep managed to get them all into the sack.

Maybe Dr. Chakwas has no interest in dating right now? Though that would be interesting to have her as a romance option, maybe add Hackett/Anderson as another LI. That would be interesting to see from a storyline perspective.

She sees Shepard and Normandy crew as his children/family. So a big fat "NO" for that.

Obviously there's a comminication problem there. The Queen would need to possess another creature in order to speak to Shep. It would never work.

That's not really romantic...communicating with your LI via a dead body. Maybe that works for some people but probably not for Shep.

He'd totally do more than communicate with it. I mean that rachni queen, she just screams virility.

Well I don't think it's too surprising that you can't romance her. She mentions she doesn't really have any immediate family, but sees everyone in the alliance as her family, and (if I remember the conversation right) her children...

So based on her dialogue, it wouldn't be far-fetched to see Shepard as one of her children and finding it really awkward to have a romantic relationship with him/her.

Just because she has a few drinks with him doesn't mean that it invalidates the idea of that family mentality. Just my two cents.

She looks younger in ME3 than she did previously. I don't trust it. Either she is consuming the life force of her patients or she has gotten ahold of the elixir Isabella Rossellini was handing out in Death Becomes Her. And if that's the case, why isn't she sharing the elixir with Hackett, whom she has been in a relationship with since I invented it at the beginning of this sentence? Scandalous.

I've always kinda wondered about her, actually. I wish they expanded her character more - I mean, she's been there since the very beginning, and stuck it through all the way.

-There at the beginning.
-Risks court-martial due to your actions. Sticks around.
-She leaves the bloody alliance to join you on a mission of "certain" death.
-Almost gets turned into human tooth-paste during said mission.
-She leaves her comfy desk job to join you on yet another mission of "certain" death.

Sure, some LI's might be devoted, but none more so than this woman.
