As we know, Kaiden is gay(even though female Shepard can nail him).  So how come female Shepard can't nail Ashley?  Seems like wasted potential.

Doesn't it kinda go against her character? Not that Kaidan came off as gay in ME1, either, but Ashley seems a lot more deeply rooted in her opinions and beliefs. Not to mention (please please don't kill me) that maybe it has to do with that fact that she's religious?

Ashley is too religious to go that way. I'm all for options but it would seem like a revamp to make her bisexual.

I just figured it was because FemShep can already have lesbian relationships. I know, Liara's not technically female, the Asari are a monogendered race. They really needed to add a gay relationship option for BroShep.

1. FemShep had a lot of other options
2. Kaidan is bi, not gay.
3. Ash and Kaidan are not mirror images. This helps differentiate them.

Well, seriously, out of the 31 flavors you got that's the only one worth a crap without a purely insane/corporate agenda, well the LEAST insane/corporate agenda (you know like the only one who would veto federal bans on gay marriage, for one, making sure it stayed up to the states, because leaving a state is easier than leaving the country).  Also, many independents and several dems(ehem) I know would vote the other guy out for him and no one else...

Seconded. I am a Christian and a homosexual. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Not every character has to turn bi or gay like in DA2. I have no idea why Ashley is straight while Kaidan is bi, but not every character has to cater to the PC's romance needs. Their preferences adds more to the characters, and brings a bit of reality to the story by making them more real.
