If your Shepard had been given free will at the end, what would he have done?

Let's imagine your Shepard was standing, facing 'Star Child', he'd been given those free nihilistic choices....

... Only this time, the boundaries and limitations of the game had been removed and you were free to act as you saw fit, according to his character.

In my own situation, Shepard would have basically told 'Star Child' to, "go to hell" in regard to destroying all Synthetics, and the Mass Relays, refusing to compromise until another way had been revealed.

He'd have interrogated Star Child, trying to find answers...and if Star KId refused to comply, he'd  probably have ignored the trap of the three choices, and just radioed the fleet with an order to push forward the attack and blow The Reapers to hell with everything they had!

Even if it resulted in utter defeat, it may at very least, have lessened the Reapers' numbers, and bought time for the rest of the galaxy.

Under no circumstances would he have accepted any scenario in which all Mass Effect relays were destroyed, nor would he have blindly taken 'Star Child's explanation on pure faith, and accepted the three solutions as the only solutions.

S:Yo Hackett you still there?
H: Aye.
S: I've located the Reaper's leader, would you be so kind to send a shuttle to pick me up and synch all the fleets weaponry on this location.
H: Sure...

Shepard's shuttle zooms off as many colorful explosions appear...

I'd cite my own actions in the game up to that point as proof that its theory of inevitable synthetic-organic conflict was wrong and tell it to just kill all the reapers and then kill itself.

If it didn't comply I'd blow the thing up and give the cosmos the finger.

My Shepard would have just said "No. I refuse." She would have let the rest of the galaxy keep their autonomy and refused to make any of the choices, since they all undermined her core values.

If she still had radio access to Hackett, I guess she would have told everyone that the Crucuble was no go and that it was all or nothing, they were just going to have to fight and be prepared to go out in a blaze of glory. If she didn't, I guess she would have lain down and died quietly, letting Hackett draw the conclusion that the Crucible was a no-go himself, allowing him to give the order for a final push himself.

The Reapers probably would have won, but that's not the point. Everyone would have gone down on their own terms.

The lack of the option to let Shepard do this is the thing that hurts me the most, tbh.

I'd blew up the Citadel still. But would have done it in my own terms.

I'm sure the fleet could have shot the place up to hell, or delivered few nukes.

!! THIS !! Except "Starchild: Ok! you'll get a 12% discount the next time you're indoctrinated!"

My Shep would have told the kid to put his forehead on the barrel of the gun.

A simple dialogue response to any and all of the 'facts' proposed by the Catalyst, consisting of just two words:

"Prove it."

I still believe that the fleet would've won at high EMS, the Reapers are not invincible. Just because the ground war was lost means nothing (fighting a ground war without air superiority is a futile waste of resources anyway).
My Shep would've told that little punk that it can shove it's choices, the war ends today one way or another by our choices, not his.

I would have said exactly what Sheridan said at the end of the Shadow War. Alternatively, I would have asked the deus ex machina character to explain the difference between Control and Synthesis to me. If none of the options appealed to me, I would have refused.

I would re-purpose the Reapers so that every 50k years they would bring the biggest batch of cupcakes to the galaxy ever seen.

Order the fleets to destroy the citadel. Our affairs cannot be interefered with from outside sources, we have to determine our own destinies. For me, self determination was the point of the entire triology and I choose for humanity to take it's chances and for genocide boy to go the way of the Dodo.

Hmmm. Crucible has been around for many cycles and no one knows who made the blueprints. Catalyst is what makes crucible work. Catalyst is in cahoots with the reapers. I'm the only person that knows or has known of the Catalyst's existence......

This. I'll take my chances on the combined galactic fleet, thanks.

Since Shepard has always been about destroying the Reapers, if releasing the Crucible's energy was still the only way to truly end them, my Shepard would've done it the only way she could have.

SB: Only you can choose.
Shep: OK. Fourth option.
SB: ...say wha?...
Shepard grabs Starbrat, shoves a grenade into his mouth then kicks him into the red area before shooting the grenage in his mouth and blowing him and all the Reapers to hell.
Shep: Joker. I need a pickup.
Joker: Aye, Aye Commander.

yeah,...that would've been pretty. ^^

Renegade Interrupt-Shoot the sh!t out of Star Child, killing him and weakening Reapers.

Use Sword and Hammer to systematically eliminate all reaper forces by conventional means, ship to ship combat and ground forces owning the Reapers until they're all wiped out.

That would be an epic ending.

The moment the casper boy is about to talk, I cut him off saying "I should go."

Radio Joker to bring me back to Earth, put Masterchief's armor on, and continue the ass kicking while dual wielding black widows.
