Tell spacebrat about how many wonderful dreams I had where I chased him down and burned him to death.

Starchild: "AAAAAAAAAAH!"
Shepard: "Guess that was important, huh?"
Starchild: "WHY?! WHY WAS I PROGRAMMED TO FEEL PAIN?!"

Starchild: "SHEPAAARD! GET OUT OF MY LABORATO... I MEAN CIRCUITRY!!!1!"

These threads are useless, they have stated that they are not going to change the ending but add clarity and closure to the ending. I don't understand why people think they are still going to do more then that. They made it pretty clear they are not, just what they are going to do with the clarity and closure won't be clear until they explain it at PAX, patience people, have some bloody patience.

As much as I dislike the endings, my Shepard probably wouldn't have done anything differently. She's not arrogant enough to think that her knowledge of the universe is greater than that of an AI that has been around for however long it has been around. […], and she/he has just met this AI that may or may not be telling the truth.

You pretty much just contradicted yourself there.

So?
What does it has to do with us expressing what our Shepards would do?

I know. That was intentional.

It's BioWare's fault.

Commander Shepard: "You control the reapers?"
Starchild: "Yes"
CS: "You can get them to stand down?"
SC: "Yes"
CS: "Then get them to stand down so we can resolve this peacefully"
SC: "No. This is not a thing you can comprehend"
CS: *lightbulb moment* "Oh I have heard that one before."

We're lucky it doesn't just vaporize out own forces.

...Oh, wait. In the bad ending, it DOES vaporize our own forces. Right...

Shepard: Hackett, Normandy, come in.

Joker: Shepard! You're alive!

Hackett: I thought we lost you. Are you still on the Citadel? Can you fire the Crucible?

Shepard: Admiral, the Crucible is a Reaper trap. We can't win using it.

The Catalyst child dissapears in a huff - it's on the Reaper's side, after all.

Hackett: We can't win fighting them head on, we have to retreat.

Shepard: No, I have an idea. The Crucible has an active AI that apparently can control the Reapers, if we can reprogram it we might have a shot.

Hackett: That sounds incredibly risky. How would you do that?

Shepard: EDI, we're going to need your help.

EDI: Shepard?

Joker: No. No way.

Shepard: Joker who do you have on board?

Joker: Not EDI, Shepard.

EDI: It's okay, Joker. No one else can do this.

Shepard: Joker, who do you have with you?

Joker: (reluctantly) Everyone except [insert squad members who made run at the beam with Shepard here].

[Shepard Chooses his squad - EDI is not a choice (she runs a parallel mission) - and, honestly, the ME2 members who are still alive should be available squad choices here BECAUSE I SAY SO ;) - the other members will be involved too and (if they survived on Earth) the other two squadies show up later in the mission ]

The Normandy swoops around to drop the squad off and EDI. As EDI leaves the Normandy, Joker stands in the doorway.

EDI: (turning to Joker) Jeffery.

Joker: Yeah?

EDI: I love you.

Joker: Just come back.

[mission start: Fight through Reapers to find a console where EDI can upload a virus based on the fragments of Reaper code - she eventually has to upload herself into the computer to fight the AI. She "dies" - but, happy ending, turns out her consciousness survives on the Normandy. She'll need a new body though - but I'm sure Joker will be more than happy to work with her about that. The fight through the Citadel should resemble something of a cross between LotSB and the Suicide Mission involving all squad mates who are alive from ME1 and 2.]

The end.

I really like it.
+the (virtual) involvation of Legion and the Geth.

*Shepard stands quietly for few seconds...then*..... What.

Star-Child: You must make a choice.

Shepard: I know, and it's the most mind-boggling thing I've ever heard. You've be around how long?

Star-Child: Millions of your Solar years.

Shepard: I see. And your this ignorant?

Star-Child: What?

Shepard: You live in the country, but you don't speak the language of the lifeforms here. Since you obviously been digging into my skull to use the kid as an interface, take a look at Rannoch while you are at it. I'll wait.

Star-Child: The peace between the Geth and the Quarians is a statisical fluke...

Shepard: Uh Huh. Take a look at my relationship with EDI and Joker. *looks at fingers*

Star-Child: What? That's not...

Shepard: Possible? Has it occured to you that we think different than what's accounted for in your statistical models? But then, you aren't really alive are you. Your are a non evolving VI that's been stuck in the same pattern for millions of years. A antique piece of code that has no idea what life is truly like except what comes from it's models. It only accepts what it has seen before and models everything off of that. I have news for you: Life has evolved past your programming constraints. it does that.Get used to the idea.

Star-Child: Two occourences do not make a trend, Shepard.

Shepard: I was in the Geth Consensus. Take a look at what I found.

Star-Child: That's not...possible.

Shepard: EDI, I've got a completely senile VI here I need to hack and send a shut down signal through. Could you do the honors. And I think the Geth would like a word with it, too. Admiral Hacket, our Synthetic allies could use a bit of help

*Geth fleet moves as one while the rest of the fleet covers it heading for the citadel*

Star-Child: This will not work Shepard.

Shepard: maybe not, but we're going to fight as one and prove your whole moronic hypothesis wrong, now aren't we? Speaking of which *pulls out omni-tool and starts stabbing data transfer hubs* time to do my part...

She would've put a bullet in the Starchild's head and instructed Hackett to fight without the Cruciable as it's a Reaper trap. Then she would sit down, radio her LI one last time to let them know she won't be making it back, bleed out and die peacefully while watching the fleets kick Reaper ass, maybe making a final speech to herself about what she hopes the future will bring for the galaxy.

EDIT: I also love Sc2mashimaro's idea.

On seeing the star kid my Shepard, would jump on a shuttle and head to BW in Edmonton. Grabbed the person/s responsible for signing off that last 10 minutes of drivel and demand to know what the hell they we're thinking.

A lot of people want to make all their choices useless by letting the Galaxy be wiped out by the Reapers.

Why is that?

Because that way the next cycle can have a real choice in the matter, not some pretend choice given to you by your enemy.

*Starchild gives his 3 choices*

*shepard deep in thought*

S: "Hmmmmm..."
S: "You do realize, this is a pretty F**king big decision i have to make here, and your only giving me 3 sh**ty choices, with no background information on why only these 3, and what exactly happens after i make them."

SC: "......... (Blank Stare) ......."
S: "So, wait... can you read minds??"
SC: "No. I can only make assumptions based on statiscal evidence of your past behaviors and... ahh.. ahh what the hell??"
**Shepard starts peeing on the VI before it can finish its sentence**
S: "So whats this option do?? You didnt say anything about how you or the reapers feel about getting pee'd on. Whats it like? Your first interaction with an organic and you get pee'd on."
SC: "God damnit, wtf, are you gonna destroy or synthesize or.. OMG gross!?! WTF?!?!"

*Shepard begins sh*tting on the floor right infront of VI*

S: "Yupp.. this is what organics do. Gotta dispose of the waste, you know what i mean?? No? so wait you gonna harvest this and turn it into some sh*tty reaper? This is how you said it works right? you harvest organic matter to turn it into a reaper? so this is like the synthetic equivalent of mining for you right?"
SC: "....... This is uncalled for..."
S: "You got some Space TP? if not i'll i have to do what my dog does and drag my ass across the floor... Ahh damnit.. Really hope it doesnt chafe.."
SC: "this was not predicted.."
S: "what wasnt, my restroom schedule?"
SC: "No just... ahh this cycle is just f*cking disgusting."
S: "we do have our moments.."
SC: "......"
S:" You think this is bad, wait till you see how krogan handle thei-"
SC: "OMG f*ck this we'll go harvest andromeda, sick f*ck."

**Citadel relay turns on, Space Child Disappears as Reapers head through the realy**

No they wouldn't, the Reapers would just capture the Citadel and shut down all the Relays again.

Starchild: I control the Reapers.
Shepard: Wait, this... the Citadel, it's "you"? The Citadel controls the Reapers?
Starchild: Yes.
Shepard: I... see, hey gimme a sec'...

* Shepard contacts Hackett *

Shepard: Yo Hackett bud, got some news mate.
Hackett: What's going on Shepard? Where are you?!
Shepard: Ah yeah sorry about that, just having some argument with the Citadel.
Hackett: Sorry? What do you mean?
Shepard: Look mate, I need you to do something right now.
Hackett: Ok what is it?
Shepard: Order every single ships capable of firing at the following location on the Citadel, blow the thing to bits, do it now.
Hackett: You're there Shepard, I can't-
Shepard: Hackett, this is now or never, the Citadel controls the Reapers, no time to talk, c'mon!
Hackett: Sorry Shepard... it was an honor... Hackett out.

* Shepard looks back at the Starchild and smiles *

Shepard: Alright so, mind if I just sit down?
Starchild: Have you decided?
Shepard: Huh? Oh sorry all that time... yeah I wasn't listening, called a friend.
Starchild: * Silent, looks at Shepard wondering what he said implies *

* Shepard just sat down, Starchild by his side still looking at him, Shepard looks at the Earth *

* Cut scene shows Alliance and allied alien ships suddenly turn, many of which leaving their current fight still being fired at behind them by Reapers and drones, some destroyed in their attempt to race towards the Citadel *

* Camera comes back at the Starchild and Shepard. Suddenly Starchild's visual form shapes and transforms to that of Harbinger's *

Harbinger: You will regret this, Shepard.

* Harbinger's apparition fades out *

* Shepard, oblivious to Harbinger's comment, slowly closes his eyes whilst looking at the Earth, until his eyes are closed, he takes a slow and deep breath. From his back view, the camera zooms out faster and faster *

* Cut scene shows ships firing everything they have at the Citadel, some Blue Suns and other Merc ships literally ramming into the Citadel *

* Cut scene changes back to Harbinger at the head of a Reaper counter-attack approaching from Earth's high orbit behind the ships firing at the Citadel, the Reapers fire *
* Camera pans out to include both Reapers and Alliance ships with the Citadel already exploding at specific locations *

* The Citadel is zoomed on closer, it starts to crumble, split and explode in multiple large pieces, arms breaking off of the main support structure, exploding, their own explosion's shock waves propelling nearby pieces in all directions, some into both Reapers and Alliance ships, destroying them by dozens instantaneously *

* As the Citadel explodes Reapers are shown to appear confused, firing in all directions, some firing at themselves, Harbinger trying to avoid Alliance fire and random moving debris, suddenly another Reaper, inert, rams into Harbinger severely damaging it *

* We can hear Hackett whilst the cut scene still plays *

Hackett: This one! It's Harbinger! To all available ships! FIRE!

* Harbinger is shown, damaged, front arms missing, still firing what he can at Alliance ships, even firing at other Reapers too close to him *

* Alliance ships find it, they open fire, some already heavily damaged ships ramming into Harbinger *

The Reaper, Harbinger, is shown, dying, fired at, the more damaged he gets, the more other Reapers are shown to deactivate. On Earth, Reaper Destroyers are shown either firing at themselves or Reaper troops on the ground, some are shown to suddenly become inert, falling on nearby ruins...

Shepard has sacrificed himself, organics and allied synthetics have won, the Relays are shown inert, but physically intact...

Hmmm... well none of this is part of my own canon I made this up but I liked it, thanks for thread.
