I just want to clarify that an "N7 Weapon" is one of these guns specifically:
Valkyrie
Eagle
Crusader
Hurricane
Valiant

They appear to have a higher rarity than the standard ultra-rares like the Talon, Black Widow, Scorpion, Wraith etc. The N7 Weapons drop from weekend events, but it is not unheard of for them to drop in Premium Spectre Packs. In fact, I received my N7 Hurricane V from a regular Spectre Pack.

If you are looking to get ultra-rares, the description says that you should buy PSPs, but the store is random so before you lament at buying 30 PSPs and only getting 1 Ultra-rare, remember that the random store is random and you are at its mercy. Maybe tomorrow you'll buy 30 packs and get 4 Ultra-rares. . . pray to your Bioware makers.

Since the launch, I have an average of 5% per SP and 8-10% per PSP.

I was getting pretty good UR drops last night. I got three drops in just a few hours. Not bad if you ask me. I only buy Spector Packs.

jeez that is a pretty terrible bad drop rate. By the time I had my rares at X, I must have had 5-6 URs, and at least a couple at 2-3

Developers have commented in other threads that they will not disclose the chance of getting ultra rares. If they do, then everyone would start tabulating their packs and if they got less than the chance percentage, they would rage.

I get one about every fifty psp's opened so yeah in my case that's about a 1% drop rate. I say 1% because there are two chances per psp.

In reality it's lower than 7%

I actually counted how many PSPs i needed to get my last 84 ultra rare weapon upgrades (not including ultra rare characters).

I had to buy 387 PSPs to get those 84 ultra rare weapons. All PSPs were bought after the collector DLC. I never bought the normal SPs.

Empirical Results (≠ Probability):
Average for getting an ultra rare weapon in a single PSP: 0.21
Average PSPs to get a single ultra rare weapon: 4.6

It should be noted that i maxed all rares before i started collecting the data.

Ultra-rare lives up to its namesake. You can buy a string of 20 PSPs and not get an UR, or you could buy one spectre pack and score.

Random is random, and the probability is per pack, not based on the total you buy/bought.

That time I was having very dumb luck. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS? All gears I got in all premium spectres. I wasted 2million credits and just got 3Ultra-rares, a M-77 Paladin, Cerberus Harrier III, and A Wraith VI.

While at night ( to note i waste 2 million is at around 4:30 till 5) I bought an Veteran get Collector SMG, I bought a Spectre and got a Volus Engineer, and one recruit get one N7 Typhoon. HOW LUCKY IS THAT? The next day which is Friday , I finished a WEekend challenged and got a Hurricane II. A two in a row from last week, two Hurricanes in a row. Real LUcky.

Now finally, Bioware has given me all of the weapons;Thank GOD!! I still think its crabapples. Now I got all characters but the DESTROYER and the Volus Protector(duh, it just came out); but the destroyer, why not that bioware open like the Single Player campaign store one by one. Not in packs. It's lied too, new Reserves Pack said it will give new chars. It lied, it gave me Scorpion III, Black Widow VI, and a Typhoon II. OH SH**!!!!!
