I mean at the end of their converesation on the citadel, them embracing would've have been much better than nothing.

Or am I the only one who thinks this?

I wish she was romancable. I mean... it's not like she has to make babbies... I guess she was scarred enough to not want to do anything.

I don't see why every engaging character has to be romanceable. I just don't think it would've fit. We already see in ME2 that she doesn't want that if you try to advance on her, and I don't think it was just because of the suicide mission or the Morinth situation.

She's done the whole romance thing already, got 3 kids to show for it, so she's really not in a hurry to try it again.

Because that involves effort and Bioware ain't big on effort right now.

She's a Justicar, near the end of her life and every child she'd had has been an Ardat-Yakshi. Can see why she's kind of not interested in romance.

Actually, if you're full paragon in ME2 she IS interested. Someone know if we get any additional dialogue with a near-kiss in ME2 and no other romance?

Interested or not, Samara is firmly resistant against the idea of entering a romance with anyone, despite how conflicted she might feel on that point toward any one person. This is a part of her character as much as Garrus's distaste toward the red tape found when working for C-Sec. As much as you might want to romance her, she's not an option. It has nothing to do with how much "effort" BioWare was willing to put in.

Asari get up to 1000 years old. Samara is 700 something.

Soon Bioware can't put a piece of rock into their game without someone demanding a possibility to romance it. I'd rather them have only one romance done well than multiple shallow ones.

Why don't you people go watch The Bold and the Beautiful or something equivalent? Or pick your own piece of rock?

DISCLAIMER: This post was not entirely serious.

I don't think it would have fitted to the character.

Only Asari worth romancing is Aria. Samara and Liara need to both die.

You sure? I'm pretty sure she said she's nearly 1000. Even then 700 to an Asari is probably like 70 to us.

I agree with this,  Although it might have been interesting to play through with that as a option, I just do not see it fitting with her character.

She is truely a devout Justicar and the almost romance / near kiss in ME2 was the role of temptation playing its part.  Yet she remains strong and resists the urge to give in.  Thus enhancing her character even more and showing a side of her mortality / "human" nature that no one is ever truely free from temptation.
