So Ashley, Kaiden, Liara, Thane, Tali, Cortez, Trayor, Kelly, Jack & Garus wasn't enough?

Fixed that for you.

Come on, he told you that he was dying in ME2 & that there was no cure. What did you expect was going to happen?

She's a thousand years old for crying out loud.
Go find someone your age.

I noticed that you didn't noticed the disappearence of Jacob in your list. Which is rather telling about how much noticeable he is.

Doesn't she say that relationship aren't against the Code if you ask the question?

She's a Justicar, near the end of her life and every child she'd had has been an Ardat-Yakshi. Can see why she's kind of not interested in romance.

Asari get up to 1000 years old. Samara is 700 something.

You sure? I'm pretty sure she said she's nearly 1000. Even then 700 to an Asari is probably like 70 to us.

I think there is a scene in ME2 were she talks about her age very briefly and her life in general and I believe she says something like 700. And comparing asari and human ages is pretty hard seeing how technically Liara would be 10 in human years but is an adult. I also recall that asari with the salarian on Ilium in 2, who was talking about joining Eclipse and she says she's around 40 and just moved out of her parents household. Very confusing.

I also would have liked the choice to romance her; I get that the whole justicar code thing and the serial killer babies is a huge red flag for her, but that in and of itself would have been an interesting story if a romance was possible.

It's all just about making a game that is TRULY built from player choices, obviously that kind of game is impossible, but we can still say what-if.

Actually, if you're full paragon in ME2 she IS interested. Someone know if we get any additional dialogue with a near-kiss in ME2 and no other romance?

Yep, she says something very roughly along the lines of 'under any other circumstances, she would happily spend what years she has left with you but she cannot as her mission must still take priority...', there is an embrace and very nearly a kiss...

Yeah, Thane and Jacob ME3 romances were so uplifting and hopefull.

And every romance must be hopefull and uplifting?
Personally I quite like idea that romace in ME can be without happy ending -  especially that Thane told us, that he is close to the death.

And about Samaria: while I personally find her the most interesting and likeable female character in the game I prefer that they are some character  who cannot be romanced ( espacially that it fits Samara character)

Only Asari worth romancing is Aria. Samara and Liara need to both die.

Obvious troll is obvious.

How is that trolling? For a Renegade Shep, Aria would be the perfect Asari that does not kill you like Morinth...

Scientist call that the "Mass Effect 3" effect. What happened, or what has been said before doesn't matter anymore.

Alas, Aria is a one-Krogan lady...Even though he is certainly quite busy at this time.

No, of course not.
All romances in ME1-ME2 should end with Artistic Tragedy.
That's exactly what people want. I mean, they did romance in ME1-ME2 only to cry over it's grave in ME3.
Just like in real life.
Hopefull and uplifting is for suckers.

She's old and fit in her live's course. She said no in ME2, there was obviously nothing else to be said.

I'm aware. Not only do they not have a real cameo for her, but they turn her into a banshee. Let's be honest, Samara would end up as a banshee long before Morinth.

I know, but that's like saying Kal'Reegar had a cameo.

And humans can get up to a 100 years or more.  Still, I don't think you would call someone in their 70s 'in the prime of life', despite the Golden Girls :P
