Let's be honest, Samara would end up as a banshee long before Morinth.
.

Maybe she will, if you won't help her out in a monastery?
Like Jack turned into Phantom if player did not help Grissom Academy.

It's labeled A Belated Goodbye and basically says "Thanks, going to make sure I avoid you from now on"

It's all just about making a game that is TRULY built from player choices, obviously that kind of game is impossible, but we can still say what-if.

There are Japanese anime games if you are keen on harem games where every character falls madly in love with the protagonist whether it makes sense or not.

Asari get up to 1000 years old. Samara is 700 something.

And humans can get up to a 100 years or more.  Still, I don't think you would call someone in their 70s 'in the prime of life', despite the Golden Girls :P

She is still full of life for a so-called 70 years old grand-ma. And it's not like Shepard is gonna live 300 years anyway.

From: Morinth
Subject: A belated Goodbye

Hello, Shepard:

Glad to hear you're alive after that attack on Earth--not that I'm surprised. I'd apologize for slipping off the Normandy without saying goodbye, but we both know the Alliance wouldn't take too kindly to my presence there. I probably needed to stretch my legs in a new city, anyway. Since you're back with the Alliance, it's probably best not to tell you which one.

I'm still grateful you took a chance on me. Take care of yourself. I'd hate to hear you were killed before we get the chance to meet up again.

No idea, but even if that is the case, you get a chance to save the entirely fatalastic Samara, but not the self-preservationalist Morinth. A.K.A. pro logic failure.

I see. Pity, Morinth was quite interesting for Renegade Shepards.  Thanks.

No, She doesn't need a romance.

Her "i would throw you on the deck right now..." in ME2 was awesome.

But a hug goodbye would have been an improvement.

Wouldn't her age be a good thing practically for a relationship? An Asari near the end of her life span in a relationship with a human doesn't have to deal with the possibility that she'll outlive her partner by up to about 900 years.

Besides, what the hell does age even matter? They're both considered adults in their respective species. Whatevs.

Thanks!

Well, she seemed to like Shepard. It would have been nice to meet her once again.

I'm a little disappointed that there weren't a couple of lines for those Sheps who she felt a connection with. I wasn't expecting a romance, but a bittersweet parting would have been nice.

Not buying "The Code" thing, sorry.

2 of my aunts were nuns and one eventually found a more fullfilling relationship.

More than that, this is a game about you, not the NPCs. This is my personnal POV, but I fail to see how limiting who you can get as a LI improves the story. It only limits it.

If you were happy with her wishes in ME2, then don't bring it up in ME3. If you need the writers limitations, well that's another issue. I'm just curious about where they would have taken it.

I'd also apply this to every caracter being a same sex LI option. Replayability, using different combinations.

I alo disliked the ending because of the lack of choices, amongst other things. Yeah I mentionned the ending :(

"Hey Samara, sorry you've spent centuries hunting outlaws and psychopaths, 2/3rds of your family is now dead, and you're clearly feeling suicidal because you have nothing left to live for. You know what would fix all that? Some dick."

Yeah I was hoping for at least a hug. It could have been an awkward hug to stay true to character. Or they could have come up with a secret handshake.

the argument about Samara's age is pretty stupid, considering that the Asari mature quite fast and retain their mature physical appearance for quite a long time. Look at Benezia, she looked and functioned way better than most humans in their 70+ but she most likely was older than 700 years. Aethyta is another example of this, Lidanya. They do not act and definitely don't look like humans over 70, it simply doesn't convert that way. Also, we have yet to see an Asari nearing on her death of old age - so we don't know if they do get actually old in the same way humans do.
