Interested or not, Samara is firmly resistant against the idea of entering a romance with anyone, despite how conflicted she might feel on that point toward any one person. This is a part of her character as much as Garrus's distaste toward the red tape found when working for C-Sec. As much as you might want to romance her, she's not an option. It has nothing to do with how much "effort" BioWare was willing to put in.

Agreed 100%

It's a shame. I was hoping for some romance options for Samara since they kinda teased you with the pseudo-romance in ME2 if you tried to pursue one.

I too was disappointed that the romance of Samara was not built upon in the third game. It would have been nice if a paragon Sheperd could at least receive a hug and/or a simple kiss on the cheek.

Come on! There was enough material for a platonic romance at least!

She's old and fit in her live's course. She said no in ME2, there was obviously nothing else to be said.

You kill her as a named Banshee.

Wait, Morinth is in ME3?!

No. The first banshee you run into on earth is named "Morinth" instead of "Banshee". The one that you always kill with that second cain. You also get an email.

I feel bad for Samara fans. At least I was able to romance Morinth in ME3... with my Cain.

It was orgasmic! Plus, nuclear fire.

I mean at the end of their converesation on the citadel, a hug would've have been much better than nothing.

Or am I the only one who thinks this o.O

She's an ancient space-paladin who've given birth to not one but THREE mind-raping space-vampires. She's not a hugger and her emotions are officially out of business. It's all about the code.

I'd prefer Aria to Samara, but geez if people are acting like Samara is too old I wonder how they feel about Aria.

It would be interesting if you could have a Paragon only romance with Samara and a Renegade only one with Aria. Though, Samara breaks the Paragon/Renegade thing by being quick to shoot people, so perhaps it should just be mainly Paragon.

I can understand the frustration anyway, she's an interesting character and very hot. But I don't have a problem with her not being a LI option. Partially because I'm a loyal Talimancer, but also she seems to have good reasons to not be involved.

In ME2 I thought the contrast and similarities with Morinth was good. Neither is available, both seem to want it, but with Samara she has to force herself not to while with Morinth you have to be the one with the will power. Neither can have a real relationship due to who they are, but for Samara it is her Duty that stops it, while for Morinth it's her lust.

Interesting thing about Aria is that I got some "vibes" from her when I made certain renegade responses in both ME2 and ME3. It all seemed to come full circle when my femshep got smashing drunk in ME3 and woke up on her couch... with her staring down at me.

Lots of speculation!

What did you expect? She's the only female person in the game that not only looks good but also isn't bat**** insane in one way or another. This was inevitable.

I was on board the Samara train until she pulled out a pistol and attempted to commit suicide for the most ridiculous reason regarding the code ever.. So she's so devoted to the code, that she'll trick it by killing herself so she won't have to fulfill it... o....k....

I saved her on my first run just because I panicked with the paragon interrupt, but now I just let her do it and then shoot her daughter, as obviously, that entire family is just so screwed up I felt like leaving ANY of them alive was too much of a risk for the galaxy's population of sane individuals...

Yeah I was expecting they would do more with Samara in ME3. I think the "attempted" romance from ME2 could have lead to some interesting moments. Actually if you check out the Samara thread, the person who wrote her for ME3 says they kinda regret not putting more lines in but they had a strict budget at the time.
