Hey, I'm working on Durlag's Tower today, or at least parts of it.
I just reached a stalemate with that woman on the top floor of the tower, the one who teleports and goes ethereal and tries to Charm your party. Every time she appeared, we could hurt her for quite a bit of hit points, but then she would go ethereal after a hit or two, and when she reappears, she reads "Uninjured", so apparently going etheral heals her.
I finally just gave up and ran downstairs. She has really high magic resistance, so no spells worked. I also tried the Wand of Paralysis and the Wand of Ice. Nothing.
Could some of you who have beaten her please tell me how?

You don’t have to fight her... she is part of a quest and you are supposed to take a lock of her hair down stairs to give to Riggilo. The best choice is “to prevent a dagger in my backside” then return to Kirinhale.
Understand that this quest is evil so I strongly recommend that you leave your paladin at home.

It is certainly possible to kill her, you probably just need to concentrate your attacks a bit more.
- summons may help - a few ogres for instance from wand of monster summoning can make a big difference.
- potions for your fighters such as heroism, giant strength and speed can greatly increase damage.
- spell buffs can help as well, e.g. haste, chant, luck, bless.
You may also find it easier to use missile weapons for several of your characters so that she can't avoid attacks by moving around.

Hmm, I didn't realize you could talk your way out of the fight. I keep giving her what seem to be polite answers to her dialogue, and she always goes hostile. Does she read your alignment, maybe? Mine is always some version of good. I'm probably just giving her the wrong answers.
I suspect the devs didn't intend for her to be fightable. If you do kill her, does she have any good drops? I'll probably just try to remember to stay off the upper floor next time.

She drops a staff +2. Offer to help her escape by tricking someone else into taking her place... Anyone can do the quest.
