Your idea for a beautiful take on life is to show us that all life and our decisions made therein are meaningless?
How nice for you.
It is plainly obvious to me that those who like the ending simply gloss over it in their minds, this is understandable as analysing the true impact of the ending for even a minute can be devastating.
Anyone who has lived a full life or close to one will tell you it's not the end it's what happens before it.
You want to bring real life into it than think about this......if your rich and you die.....your money is gone and your dead.....can't take it with you.....if you die before your loved one, guess what your dead can't take him or her with you. Life is meaningless in the sense that it doesn't matter what happens or what you do cause in the end your dead so yeah.
I loved the endings, I wasn't happy that Shepard didn't get to say goodbye to Ashley or Liara, but that doesn't mean I hated the endings....and I hardly "glossed" over it, I spent a good 10 mins deciding which option I should choose. I went with the "green" option my first playthrough, only because I didn't want to deprive Joker of EDI or let the peace between the Geth and Quarians go to waste.
