I don't hate you. I hate the endings. They're all terrible. Enjoy them for all I care. I'm not putting another penny towards Bioware or EA as long as they remain the same.

I actively disliked the endings for leaving all of the 'I think' opportunities and not locking things down far more tightly but if you enjoyed them then good for you.

People only get really get annoyed when people post threads along the lines of, "people don't like the endings because they are too stupid to understand them".

I thought everything came together perfectly. It was too beautiful to even put into words. It made me think about life and and how extrodinary it is. Someone who sits down and plays all the Mass Effects would at the least have a different outlook on our existence. I think that is the whole point to the game, if bioware intended for you to have a spiritual experience then they did their job, they did more. I know it's only a video game but it's really more than that for me, it's a perfectly beautiful take on life. I take my hat off to Bioware, I wouldn't change a thing.

Also there may be a chance for more, right. First you see Shepard(I'm assuming) take a gasp for air, it may have been his last but we really don't know. Then my favorite cut scene of the game, the boy and the man on that planet. The boy asks for one more story of THE Shepard and the man says ok one more. This tells me shepard lives, at that point you'd think the man would have told Shepards whole story because he ended with what we saw last. I don't get how the story can continue since there would be no way to get around but maybe it does. If it doesn't then that's ok to. I'm happy and I really am more than impressed with what Bioware has done. I really was expecting something horrible after all the threads started popping up all over the place but it wasn't horrible at all for me, the furthest from it. Thank you Bioware for making the best and my favorite video game series of all time. I'm only sad or upset because it's ended, or is it?

I believe you need to further analyze the game. Your emotions wrote this thread, not your head. If it was your head, then my first statement applies even more.

Don't be silly OP, we don't hate the people who like the ending. And props for defending why you like it, its rare to find any pro-ending people willing to defend it. You're in the minority though.

That might have something to do with the way the posters in this forum use anyone that dares to disagree as their personal rage outlet.

Just saying.

I agree, things get heated.  Especially when arguing against a majority.  I know.  I despise  Amy Pond and Rory in Doctor Who.  I get bashed frequently whenever I voice it.

However, from what I've seen (and Ive followed it quite closely, having had a broken leg) the majority of the mud slinging and name calling has come from some people who defend the endings expecially those using the artistic integrity argument.

I know there's bad on both sides but I've seen far more articulate well thought out answers about why people didn't like the endings rather than from people who did.

Just my two cents.  I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Anyone who dangles a real ending in front of you only to make you pay for it in order to get the full product should have their hands cut off and sold back to them for 1200 Microsoft Points. <- sentiment of Yahtzee Croshaw, video game reviewer for the escapist.

My sentiment: You say you love the ending because it wasn't an ending. /thread.

I approve of you liking the ending. A few questions though.
Do you have any logical arguments of why you love the ending?
Do you have any logical counter-arguments on the various plot holes of the ending?
Could you provide an opinion a little more elaborate than the one you provided, to give to your readers an understanding in order to accept your position?

If not, then I am inclined to believe that you are just another player that seeks to go against the trend (the trend being Not liking the End) and who tries to get BioWare's attention.

@ OP: I just hate the endings. You have the right to love them all you want.

BTW, we seem to have quite a few ending supporters here in one thread, that doesn't happen often. Would one of them care to explain what is it about the ending that they find appealing? Serious question.

Edit: Ninja'd :) . ^ what TekMage said above.

Why would I hate you when it is the ending I hate? Gamers as a whole need to stop our stupid investment into brands as extensions of us. It is well and truly ridiculous.

How is that ok if the story doesn't continue? Like watching an epic movie for 2 hours and missing the last 30 minutes where you see what happens to everyone. But here you play a game for 150+ hours and you get screwed the last 10 minutes... how about..no?

Nope. No hate for you. I thought the ending was beautifully done. In that the music and atmosphere were both fantastic, and taken outside of ME as a whole, it might have been a good ending (Excluding the similar ending cutscenes). But the actual substance of the ending, its narrative meat, if you will, is just terrible. I would recommend watching this:
It's long, but it's pretty amusing, very fair minded, and criticises the ending for reasons not often discussed by anti-enders.

I loved it too OP. I think more content is always a good thing and I doubt they will overhaul the ending, only make it better. I think the fact that I thought of the entire 3rd game as the ending made it easier for me to digest the final cutscene.
