We're not about hating people who liked the endings. And I think I can speak for (almost) everyone when I say we're glad you enjoyed it. We didn't, for many reasons (enumerated elsewhere).

But it also seems like you want more. So I think maybe we're on the same side of this issue anyway.

I really enjoyed the ending as well. i like how it left things up to the imagination.

Hey, I can use my imagination without paying BioWare, thanks.

Heck, if I wanted things to be left up to the imagination, I wouldn't have bought ME3 at all!

But congrats on liking the ending OP! You hardly see any pro-ending people out here who come out and say that they liked the ending and why without "insulting" those who didn't like the ending.
Then again, most of the people who didn't like the ending jump almost instantaneously over threads of pro-ending people (no offense).

Oh, and I'm not hating you. I wouldn't even dare.

Didn't you post this before? Because when I read this: "It was too beautiful to even put into words. It made me think about life and and how extrodinary it is" I immediately looked at the post date. This was posted before.

Oh but you see they want us to hate. It's so much easier for them to pretend we're being unreasonable rather than actually analyse what's gone wrong here that so many are upset with the endings.

I want to make a snide remark about the amount of thought you put into comprehending the ending, but that would be rude. So I'll just think it to myself.

I kinda liked the ending, besides Liara popping up in my flash back instead of my LI. If they'd somehow release some kind of fix for that 'flashback scene', I'd actually be pretty content with the ending. Don't get me wrong though, I'd definitely still pay for a new one in a heart beat.

I am sorry,  I am pleased that you loved the ending, but I couldn't read past that bit

(I have noticed a lot of people who say they love the ending, never just think it was ok or was pretty good)

tried it. Had giant conga line of people jump on and scream "NYAR YOU ARE WRONG" without bothering to discuss. Decided I had better things to do with my time.

Props to the OP. I like that about 75% of the responses in here are pretty mature and civil.

The other, unfortunate 25% are some form of--

-"If you liked the ending, you must not have analyzed it enough,"
-"This is clearly a troll/a person not worth listening to," or
-"You must have low expectations."

None of those three responses, or any variant thereof, have any substance or class whatsoever.

No hate at all, OP, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, though I profoundly disagree with you.

To be fair, if they thought it was just ok or pretty good, they wouldnt love it. They'd just kinda like it.

You know why people say you're wrong if you try to justify the ending with logic? Because you are objectively wrong. The end.
You can like it, and nobody's saying otherwise, but it's indefensible.

I defy you to logically explain the Normandy scene without resorting to assumptions, fallacies and pseudo justifications (e.g. "it's art" or "use your imagination").

I enjoyed the endings until I came to these forums... and this was bad of me to let what I like be influenced by what others think, but it happened unfortunately.. and I think lots of the people have fallen into the same trap.

bro, if you like the ending, NOBODY CARES. You got the ending you wanted? You're happy with the product you purchased? Great! But there's a fairly large fanbase that wasn't. Why should they be denied the ending they want, WHEN IT DOESN'T AFFECT YOUR STORY IN THE SLIGHTEST? I mean, if new DLC is released, it's not like Shephard is holding a Carnifex to your head and telling you to buy it!

This is why I think you white knights are trolls.

And then there's the most substanceless argument of all: "Your opinion is objectively wrong."

Memorize it.  Use it.  Love it.

Opposite for me. I only started coming to the forums because I hated the endings so much.

No rational person is going to hate somebody because they liked the endings. I strongly disagree, but you have every right to post that opinion in these forums. I wish I could look past all the (IMO) bad parts of that ending. To me (a ME fan who has read the novels/comics, played ME 1 and 2 at least 300 hours total) the ending looked like it belonged in an entirely different game. It just didn't have that EPIC factor that the entire final level had. The big part that made me really dislike the ending....was no harbinger. It just didn't tie anything together for me. This game was all about choices, and possibilities....and that ending IMO did not represent the franchise. Also I thought it was laughable that we brought all the races together, something that the reapers never encountered before, and that wasn't even a factor......
It just doesn't represent the franchise good enough imo.....

It's nice to see that people can show passion and defiance in the face of opposition.

It's just a pity we didn't get to see Shepard show the same passion or defiance at the end of ME3.
