So we clearly say: "Hey, the endings ruined my will to play the game"
And they answer: "Hey, we actually though this was going to work, we're not going to fix it, but here you have an irrelevant Palaven DLC (that would be cool with the diverse endings promised)"

Actually they don't even say that. We just have to "speculate" about a Palaven DLC before the game ends or a whole complicated speculation thread about IT.

Man, some of you guys are too bitter.

I also hate the ending with every fiber of my being, but this has nothing to do with that and there's absolutely no reason to rage about it here. They're fleshing out the lore for those of us who still enjoy the Mass Effect universe. That's a good thing...

Exactly. Just because I hate the endings does not mean that I can't enjoy more expanded universe details.

Isn't 90% of the Galaxy fleet still on earth?

Yup, and they're not going anywhere.

Actually I would reckon they crashed, given that the normandy crashed even after trying to outrun it and the majority of the fleet was still fighting reapers when Shepard picked his colour.

WELL if this is POST ending, you already know the answer but if this is prior to the ending, it won't really matter.

^This.

With the ending as it currently is...there's no way to save 'em post-ending and if you save 'em pre-ending Shepard just kills them all anyway. Meh.

You mean like all the ME2 DLC we got that involved all those Cerberus Daily News stories? Oh wait...

So much fail on BioWare's part. The first two pages are all "yeah, too bad this doesn't matter"

Lol. Good job BioWare. Maybe you guys should play your own game since you clearly think anything you do would be relevant now.

Sad that they still haven't realized they DESTROYED Mass Effect.

Honestly, why would we have to "save" Palaven? The Turian fleet showed up to Earth so we know that they weren't completely ****ed. The endings also negate anything you have done to save the galaxy anyways, since you either destroy, control or synthesize with all the damn reapers anyways.

IIRC, there is an entry on the secondary codex on this event in game-it is just expanding on it.

I think.

Who gives a bosh'tet about ANN, Palaven, or their defeat? Taking the Turian homeworld back won't help anything. In the end it's still the same red green blue bubble and the circular logic star child plus Joker running away.

What you gonna announce next, Germany developed rockets in WW2?

I'm confused... In my game I got the Krogen to help the Turians, and as I went I was getting tidbits about how we were retaking Palavan and how they were destroying the reapers there with bizarre tactics.

Is this saying that none of that mattered? It certainly wouldn't be the first time lol..

"In an emergency broadcast from an undisclosed location, Primarch Fedorian admitted it is possible Palaven’s communications with the rest of the galaxy will go dark during the fighting."

It is clear that it's pre-ending, as Primarch Fedorian dies early in the game.

- It still doesn't matter though, really.

Of course they're not going anywhere, they're dead because the relays exploded. And what did we learn in the Arrival DLC? Exploding Mass Relays lead to destroyed solar systems.Image IPB

To the "News", I'd say it's to late. They should have posted it on the Demo's ANN screen.

If it is a DLC Coming for MP im not interested at all Cause i got better game for MP...

If it is a DLC Coming for SP im not interested cause the end suck pretty much...

if it is just a Roleplay Info, lets say to expand the our knowledge of the game i find it a bit useless...

in any other case i think they should first Fix the Ending and then go ahead with the DLC pre-end.
IMHO anything else is just worthless to be created/posted/buyed/readed

I always wonder why the Sword fleet would actually go and attack Earth first, it would be much more strategically sound, if all the forces attack Palaven instead. Granted Humans are building the Crucible, and Shepard is Human, but to place all the hope on a tech that no one know what it will do is rather careless of them. Ideally Shepard should free Turian homeworld first, thus freeing up entire Krogan ground troops and Turian Fleet plus their shipbuilding capability, and give Geth time to outfit their fleet and Quarian armada with latest weapons, then attack Earth with twice the strength as Sword and Hammer started off with. Especially when Reapers know that Shepard know the catalyst is the citadel, So they had to defend the Citadel, thus we can defeat them in set-piece battles where we are always able to outgun any isolated reaper forces, if reaper at Earth choose to reinforce lone garrisons, then we attack Earth while reaper defensive is weakened, pretty much pinning Reaper to a defensive position, lack of any initiatives, and at our mercy.

This could have been a great idea for a DLC. But since I know that the Mass relays will blow up, and everthing I do will be for nothing I don't see any reason why I should spend time saving Palaven

This post makes no sense and seems like it's 30 days late. I'm guessing its foreshadowing DLC content that was supposed to be in the game but got cut because of EA-Bioware's new 2 year dev cycle initiative. Quantity over quality!

I didn't used to be this jaded. I used to care about the Mass Effect universe. Now I just want Bioware to reverse course, put emphasis back on quality (over deadlines), and start work on something they aren't going to purposefully destroy (like their other 2 franchises).
