I have upgraded James Vega with arms master level one, which boosts shields and health 20%. His stats randomly show as the base of 625 on the squad screen. Not sure if this affects gameplay or not. It happens randomly, even after console restarts. Not sure if other characters do this, but Liara seems to be okay.

This is most likely just a glitch that does't affect gameplay. I suggest you just ignore it and contenue with your gameplay.rossb2 wrote...
