They copyrighted the English language.

Yeah, I didn't realise people's opinions were copyrighted... ;)

Shocking that a magazine that gives the game a perfect score goes to it's defense. They also insult their readers in the comments. How nice of them.

I can't possibly imagine why they would do that.

It's so unbelievably dumb that all those gaming journalists keep on telling us how great the ending is, when it is clearly not.

People have given this to literature and creative writing professors and docents, people who are writers themselves have analyzed it.

And it is a weak ending. It simply is! It doesn't stand up to logic, reason, it goes against the flow of the narrative...
I guess we've all read the analysis' now.

Still they argue as if it is such a creative and intelligent ending... cut the crap, you so called journalists.
If you think Bioware should stick to it's ending and give their fans the finger, because you don't ever want fans to be able to influence the ending of any game (even though corporations, focus groups and the like already influence it), just stick to that.
Don't go on telling us that something that is bad is good, no one who has played the game (well almost no one, since there is a small minority of gamers who actually like the ending) will think it is.

There are 3 lights!

+10 geek points for recognition.

Actually, there were 4 lights, and the Cardassian was trying to get him to say that there were 5 lights.

I enjoyed that article.

I don't believe the retakers will be satisfied with anything and so I appreciate his point. I also didn't think the article was rude at all to the fans that are unhappy with the ending.

They gave the game a 10 and were used as BioWare's immediate megaphone for their cupcake switcheroo. Pardon me if I don't take their opinion on Mass Effect-related topics too seriously, no matter what their stance may be.

This is a good article, and makes many valid points.

All of you who are refusing to read it just because it disagrees with your opinion in the title, well you are showing your colors as ignorant brats. The harsh truth.

Another article I agree with, you do not have the right to demand a new ending.

It's actually not a bad article and has a reasonable point of view about how changing the ending could mess things up. The only thing I don't like is the fact the indoctrination theory is seen as a plus for bioware (the best theory is that the ending never happened... that sort of says it all) and the fact that they say people don't have the right to demand a new ending. I'm sorry but I can demand whatever I want. It's not like I have Bioware tied up in the basement.

Exactly. its a free country (well mine is) and I have the right to demand anything I want....doesn't mean anyone has to do what I say though, they have just as much right to tell me to go spit.

No they are sticking to their principals and not giving them a view cuz their just talking heads anyways so whats the dang difference. its their right not to click it and to call someone a brat for deciding not to clik an article is an example of how the Pro Enders are just as rude as the worst of the ReTake movement

This is true. We have no right.

What we do have the right to do is not buy future Bioware games, so it's Bioware's choice if they want to take their chances and make no changes, or make their outraged fans happy and add a few new endings plus a nice epilogue for all of them.

Not really, at least we read the articles before judging them.

It's one man's opinion. So what if he's from GameInformer? What, everyone who says the ending was good deserves no more credibility?

Be mature, guys.

I've noticed people say this alot. I've also noticed it only comes from people who liked the ending. You know, who would be able to keep said endings regardless of what changes they make for others.

Please help me understand why we can't ask for another ending? I truly don't understand.

Again someone misses the point. The lack of proper narrative is why the ending must be changed. Not that we are "entitled" or demanding only a "happy" ending. A ending that makes sense is all we need.

And you are showing you are a slave to Bioware who has no free will of your own.  If they sold you a box with a dog turd in it for $8000 you would say it was the greatest work of art in history.

I want what I paid for and I will not give a company that lies and is still lying to me more money.  Maybe one day you will get your dread world where anyone who questions anything Bioware or EA does is gunned down in the street, but it hasn't happened yet.

Also, I disagree that we do not have the right to ask for a new ending. Of course we do. And BioWare has all the right in the world to not oblige. But they are. It is what it is.

Not Demanding anything want what was promised and what was paid for. And if they dont get it theyll take their money elsewhere and thats ALOT of money goin elsewhere Personally i hope for new endings but dont rail about it or against it. If its my money and i didnt get what was promised i want my money bak or for it to be fixed so it goes in all things in life. If you paid me for a new Computer and u recieve it in a broken state then suddenly its ur right to "Demand" it to be fixed? I fail to see where this is any different in both cases we enter into a verbal agreement and in both cases said item is broken so in both cases it should be fixed.

Oh? I wasn't aware I said anything about Bioware in that entire post. In fact, I said those who are refusing to read the article and just judging it by the title are being ignorant brats. NOt anywhere in there did I mention Bioware and "how I am their slave" Keep presuming things though, its doing you proud.
