Maybe you guys should read the articles and opinions that oppose your viewpoint.
There are people out there who are satisfied with the ending and who are opposed to it being altered. And there are the people who want it changed due to their opinion that not everything was answered, that it wasn't the collective ending they wanted it to be.
However, shows the maturity level of you guys by blindly hating and not even bothering to read articles such as this. This movement is a ****ing joke.
EDIT:
Gameinformer is a pretty respectable sight. Saying that their morons, bought out, and just completely oblivious to the opinion of gamers and the industry that they support just shows how narrow minded you all are.
Owned by Gamestop....who sell games.....i'm convinced....

They thrive on used games. I doubt this article was created to "boost" the sales of their games.
This is genius stuff.

I find the argument to be silly, because BioWare releasing changes via DLC, is just that..DLC. If you like the ending, great. Don't download the DLC.
Everyone can be happy here.

I disagree, quite frankly they could bring out an exploding cat and a guy pooping into a tophat and it would make me happier than the current ending.

That said, it worries me that the comments seem to be pro-ending. I thought we were the majority? I dunno.
One thing that bothers me about these gaming sites are that they seem to think we want to discard the ending completely. I don't. BioWare can keep R/B/G, I just want a few new options, like purple, or . . . . ohkay

Uh-huh.
The fact that DLC would be out there invalidates what the player has done. What if they don't like the changes? What if they feel that there is no longer a "real" ending because this is content that was created by a vocal group that they may not agree with.
Creative groups that alter their films, shows, or games are usually crucified in the end. Changing anything will just cause more drama for Bioware. Adding clarifying content? Sure. Changing? No.

How does it invalidate your choice, if you don't download the DLC? It's not canon to your experience, because you didn't download it.
Personally, I don't understand why BioWare designed an ending that was so little and set on a fixed outcome. For a game that was all about choice, their 16 ending claim, should have been real...with 16 different ending all shaped by your choices.
So personally, I don't see why them adding more choices via DLC or expanding further on the ending invalidates the choice you already made. If there was 16 endings (like they claimed) in the first place, and you made your choice, you choice isn't invalidated because there is 15 other choices/endings to choose from.

You make choices throughout the game, and the choice you make at the end is pretty big considering you have the fate of the universe in your hands. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean none of it matters. You don't need to see every single thing in visualized form or have every single question answered to be satisfied. The most popular stories in films, and video games, are often the ones that leave players asking questions.

Where is this statistic from? One of the many polls that Retake members flood?
Sorry, but there is no consensus. Out of the dozens people I've talked to in real life about the ending, many more of them liked it rather than disliking it. The ones who did like it don't feel the need to go out on the internet everyday and do war with consisten Retake members.

Nope.
The choices you are presented in the end are not a reflection at all of the choices you made prior to it. Whether you cured the Genophage or not had NOTHING to do with the choices you get in the end. Whether you do X or Y event, has nothing to do with the choices you are given by Starchild.
You could argue EMS, okay. But you can scan planets and play MP to get your EMS up. And even then, the 3 endings are all the same with slight vartiations. They do not reflect your choices.
The ending itself is a closed plot developement, that doesn't take anything in the past into consideration. It's 3 closed choices.

Saying that their morons, bought out, and just completely oblivious to the opinion of gamers and the industry that they support just shows how narrow minded you all are.
lol wat
I read it, and thought the argument was silly.
How so?
Because stating something without reason is pretty silly. Are you and the rest that high and mighty to just say things like this and move on?
I'm glad.
I already explained, maybe YOU need to read everyone's posts, before making generalizations.
I find the argument to be silly, because BioWare releasing changes via DLC, is just that..DLC. If you like the ending, great. Don't download the DLC.
Everyone can be happy here.
If there was 16 endings (like they claimed), and you made your choice, you choice isn't invalidated because there is 15 other choices/endings to choose from.
To start, there ARE 16 different endings. You may not like it, they may not be that different, but there ARE 16 variations of the ending. Find an ending guide on the internet and it will show you how.
I used the colour control on my monitor...got 62,000,000 endings.
That's like me saying I killed Sovereign in 16 different ways because I used different visual effects on my monitor while watching the ending to ME1.
Sorry, but every ME game had a conclusive ending that was the same in general, different in variation. Might as well ask them to change the ending to ME2 because you either watch the base blow up in blue or red form.

Yeah, because in ME2 they promised you 16 different endings. lol
