Just a suggestion for the BSN people and Bioware Staff. Please don't let this idea die.

When Bioware fixes that and faces problem... why don't poll the customers of what they want for DLC?

I
mean, why not ask US what we want? Imagine, a 74% want more development
on Elcor campaign (living tanks), and you develop a DLC for this. It
could be cool to develop content "on de fly" for ME universe, and will
give you lots of satisfaction... and money.

We could make threads (even a DLC suggestion forum), and pick the better ideas from it, selecting them from the best topics. Then, once checked by the developers, they could select the more suitable (and not infernal or non-realistic) to develop, and propose a voting for each one.

For example, if you plan a total of 10, you can invent from scratch 5, and take the others from us. It could be a revolutionary concept. Make a voting after each announcement to develop the next one.

What do you think?

If you fix endings and faces, and do this, you will be half-gods for everyone.

:innocent:

Problem is, most players/customers of ME franchise don't come online to the forums, and even those who do (myself included) sometimes get caught up with real life.

Point is, it's hard to successfully implement such a structure.

Not at all ;)

Bioware has now Origin. An announcement using the system, even the Alliance Network interface is incredibly easy

I think this is the part that EA/Bioware just doesn't get in recent years.

Most people would be THRILLED to pay for more DLC under a few conditions:

1. It feels like truly EXTRA content and not content that should have been in the game to begin with.

2. Related to the previous point, the DLC doesn't become more or less mandatory to know what the hell is going on. I imagine a fair number of people were pretty damned confused to the beginning to ME3 if they didn't play The Arrival...which brings me to my third point.

3. The DLC has to be of consistent quality. I DIDN'T play The Arrival because it got poor reviews and reception across the board. Why should I pay to play a mailed in effort? Which, of course, is the most important point of all...

4. The core game needs to be exceptional. Nobody will buy DLC for a game that they ended up not liking or left a bad taste in their mouths. So, if you want ME3 DLC to do well, fix the endings, redo Tali's face, get a functioning journal, etc.

And after that, BY ALL MEANS nickle and dime me to death for DLC. I'd be THRILLED to hand over my money to play around more in your beautiful universe.

You have the point, I assume that if we "are the clients" and vote something, it will be as good as Lair of the Shadow Broker was. Was AWESOME. Arrival is a normal DLC, focused on metal-gear-like style and gunfight. Not roleplay, but the concept is cool and the ending improves the rate by a lot.

To be honest, with this proposal I expect the minimum level of arrival, and the top level of Shadow Broker (or more, if possible).

I think bioware should put an eye on this. Seeing the ending reaction shows that their community is hardly involved with them. And as developer, I can assure that a client that feels better when his opinion is not only heard.

If you can make feel a customer that he is "part of your team", he will adore you (within certain limits) and will be willing to help when the things get hard.

Closer example is "ME3 Ending cupcakes".

So, I think there is room for "on demand" DLCs of quality, of course.

Sheppards saga can end at mass effect 3, but with a cool ending.

After this, we can spin off until the end of the times XD
