Suggestions for patches/expansions

Sooo...I will start:
- Circle Tower. Needs balacne fixing. Badly. We're told how dangerous and terrible the abominations are, yet, even if you go the tower first you can kill them easily, Even on higher difficulty. Just kills the atmosphere right there and makes the templar look like morons for not cleaning hte tower themselves.
solution?
Reduce the number of abominations but pump up their strength considerably. Any abomiation in the tower should be a yellow mob at least. Make us fear them.

I would like to see more reaction from the npc's for the dalish elf origin. An old friend shows up tainted and we have to put him down and it stands to reason that my character would be devastated yet after he is dead the love interest and the close friends don't even mention this emotional trauma it was like they didn't even care. Someone should have asked if I was alright, if I wanted to talk.
Also I would love if a patch came through that restocked the vendors so I could buy some health potions and some ingredients

Any one of my party memebers can easily take one in a 1-on-1 fight. And when you hear that a single abomination can level a villalge or kill severa ltemplars..I'm sorry, but it just does not compute.
The only abomination (aside from Uldred) that was any challange was the one in the big room on the second (or was it third) floor. And that was only becasue the room was full of undead too.
Seriously Bio - you're trying to show off abominations as something horribly dangerous. Then make it so.

Those are considered the weakest demons in lore.
Rage < Hunger < Sloth < Desire < Pride
Making a bunch of generic rage and hunger abominations really strong would stray from the lore.
The Arcane Horror that annihilates you with spells as you're fighting a bunch of undead, and the Revenant battle are probably the 2 hardest non-boss fights in the tower. They're also pride abominations

Well post it then. It will be a usefull reference list for both developers and mod-makers alike.

They're cool when it's the last mob you're fighting, but they're incredibly annoying when you have more enemies to kill and you character is stuck doing a fancy animation instead of helping you win the fight.

An additional Mage Companion that you can add to your group would be perfect. Perhaps a male this time, with an interesting back story (and a potential romance partner for M and F alike).

Then we can start talking balance.

Balance potions, and for the love of god do something about the way Mages gear looks (esp cowls)
I second the mage gear suggestion. Also, I wouldn't mind more hairstyles, more variety in armor designs (most armor sets of the same type look exactly the same, just different color), hoods and other look-related stuff.
What can I say? "I'm a sucker for good tailoring!"

This is not an MMO. There isn't going to be a content patch. There will probably be more DLC, but not a patch. There is also not going to be a free download that will alter the game clothing model. There ARE mods that will do that, if you have the PC version. If you do not, stop asking for a "patch" to your game. You are wasting your time. Bioware is far to busy to "patch" a single player game.

It stuns me, truly, how many people do not seem to grasp a simple fact.

You do realise that the thread reads "patches/expansions", right? Did it occur to you that some of us are making suggestions on what would be nice to have included in one of those? I can perfectly understand that BioWare is busy, but it won't hurt to mention a couple of things one would like to have included at a later date, more specifically, expansions.

They are cool, but if I'm surrounded I'd rather fight the next guy than decap the dead one.
Also, change the display of "item rec'd" to "Rec'd xxxxx." Make the packrats happy. Please!

Now, in my opinion, the slow motion killing animations doesn't affect the action per se, since as far as I know, the animation is a separated matter from the effect of the attack, and the action doesn't decay out of sync since everything is in slow motion anyway...
The problem with the killing blow is that we can - at least it happens a lot for me - lose the concentration in the combat, and feels more like the game is bugged, for a moment.
Perhaps in future patchs the slo-mo killing could be optional, with a switch, or a slider to control the chance of this happening...
About the packrat issue, I agree, 100%... More feedback is also a possible welcome change, as stats gain from sets of armor, effects/imunities for enemies in real time and others things like that.

A map we can actually DRAW and note things on would be nice as well.
More auto-pause options
Ability to chain/queue spells/attacks.
Better pathfinding. I've gotten Alistair and Leliana/Zevran stuck in place for no apparent reason (like in a crowded doorway) and get annhilated.

Battles that you only control yourself and the tactics settings/AI goes for your whole team of companions.
And
Multiparty battles, you split up your team into 2 or 3 groups and have different tasks and the game switches to each party as needed for the overall battle.

Fix pick pocketing so there's more people with actual items that are useful.
Make x-bows not be pointless.
More defensive talents for non-shield users. (Activate Parry: Take a penalty to damage but gain a higher chance to shrug off attacks or perhaps even an activated talent that counters a melee attack and even shows a cool animation of grabbing the enemies weapon and disarming him or tossing him backwards)
More battles where you're playing defense, I.E. Allowing you to set up traps at choke points and set up ranged party members behind cover as hordes of enemies come rolling in.
More Boss Battles that require strategy.
More cinematic "finishing moves"
More spell combinations
More background stories (Especially for mages... 1 background story? seriously?)
Fix the battle in denerim so that the mobs aren't so insanely easy to kill on hard and nightmare mode. (Scale to your level!)
A lot more content, enough to get to at least lvl 30-35
BG: SoA had more content when it was released and it's old as hell and technology was worse back then. Seeing how much technology has advanced, why are games being released with less content yet charging more? And if the excuse is graphics, i couldn't care less if I played as a stick figure as long as the gameplay was good. Only moronic gamers care about graphics over gameplay.
More multi-party battles would be nice too. With more depth and teamwork involved.
Example: Team A. you'll circle round back open the gate for us, while Team B raids the courtyard, Team A will head into the upstairs and clear it out, Team B will then proceed indoors to take "blah blah" head on while team A provides covering fire from the 2nd floor.
Also could have a major plot point where your teams are seperated for a long duration of time and have to fend for themselves while they try to reconnect with the rest of their companions.

Theres pretty much ONLY 2 types of Mage outfits in the whole game, thank the Maker I chose an AW.
and how about some ASSASSIN CREED type Rogue gear - Even your PC Rogue who ends up being one of the richest people in the game still looks like a poor man on the battle field...lol
As well GRIFFINS - The games seems like it deserves one. Even if its only in a flashback or cut scene I want to see a drake size Griffin turning stuff upside down.
