Hi Everyone

Next week is PAX East in Boston and we are hoping you can come out and join our Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Wrath of Heroes and BioWare teams for some good PAX fun.

As we have already confirmed, we will be holding a Mass Effect panel on Friday April 6 in the Manticore Theater starting at 4:30pm (get there early to get a good seat. People coming in Mass Effect costume will be jumped to the front of the line) with Mike Gamble and members of the Mass Effect team. If you are not in Boston next week, we will be recording the panels and putting them on our channels asap after PAX.

We are also going to have a BioWare Base open to everyone with a PAX badge to come and hang out with our teams.
At the base you can find:
  • Minipanels discussing Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Wrath of Heroes and more
  • Members of the Mass Effect team including the writers of the upcoming Dark Horse/Mass Effect comics Patrick Weeks and John Dombrow. Team doing signings
  • Memebers of the Dragon Age team, including Lead Writer and author David Gaider talking about Dragon Age signing his latest novel.
  • Members of the BioWare HR team present to talk to people interested in a job with BioWare and discussing how to get a job in gaming.
  • A display and order kiosk for all the cool items available from the BioWare store and our awesome partners including a NEW weapon from Triforce.
  • Special Guest Holly Conrad and members of the Crabcat team holding a panel on creating costumes
  • A costume parade on Saturday for everyone in Mass Effect or Dragon Age costumes.
  • An art portfolio review by BioWare staff for aspiring artists.
  • Did I mention a ton of swag?
  • And your chance to talk with the BioWare Community team.
We are going to announce the full schedule next week. We hope to see you all in Boston March 5-7 for PAX East. :)

A small typo, but I think you meant April 5-7 and not March.
Anyway, have a good time there and good luck, I'll keep an eye on the vids :)

Patrick Weekes writing a Mass Effect comic???  :o

Sorry for not knowing this, but what characters / missions did John Dombrow write?  I would like to be just as excited about his work as I am about Pat's; I just happen not to know what he did.

I believe Tuchanka and Mordin. Probably the best mission in the game.

I wish he had written the ending. :crying:

Thats all well and good, but will they be addressing the complaints people have?
If so, please tell me exactly where to find the video of it.

There seems to be a temporal conflict (Time and location).
At 2pm PST April 6th, I intend to be here (Seattle WA):  http://www.sakuracon.org/
for the Dragon Age Dawn of the Seeker Premiere.
Will there be a Mass Effect event to attend afterwards too?  :)

I have no idea of what you speak. Last I heard free cupcakes for everyone and that doesn't sound like an angry mob to me or anything like the most delicious shenanagins of all time. :D

Gotta love the happy tone of that post, esp. considering the potential **** storm coming their way, lol.

And comics!?  WTF!  I'm an adult, not a child, give me a ruddy novel or two... or ten.

Bloody comics.... *mumbling about no attention span to read a comic...needs pictures to understand a story...blahblahblah...*

I myself am a fan of both forms of art. One quite graphically represents events and characters with the twist being that particular artist's style. Novels leave the images to your imagination and generally have more breadth. I like novels more but I also like comics, they're just different things. I guess I think of comics as a halfway between a movie/game and a book.

If I were you, Bioware, I'd go to that event with a gallon of Lysol, water and soap, because the ****storm you're going to receive from fans AND the press (Forbes anyone?) is going to be huge, for saying the least.

Good luck, guys... really. You're going to need it.

John Dombrow is going to be there!? *Fangasm*

I ADORE his writing! I mean, Project Overlord, the Genophage Arc AND Garrusmance for ME3? I ADORED all these! And you're saying he wrote Javik too!? Our trollin' prothean! Sweet!

I suppose he's lucky I can't attend PAX. =P
