Hi!
I have a Singaporean copy of the game while I have a US PSN account. I read that I could only redeem the free Online Pass that came with the CD if the pass's region matched the account's region, so I was planning on buying a new pass instead. But this would still mean that my disc is region locked to Singapore. Can I still play multiplayer if I have a valid US Online Pass on a US account but still playing on a Singaporean disc?

Please help. :C Thanks to the annoying Galactic Readiness thing essentially breaking the game for eveyone who -can't- play on multiplayer, I can't get the good ending despite having gone through all the trouble of maximizing my war assets.

This is a good question. I do not know for sure... But i think the region limits you to playing NA disks on NA consoles. The same should apply for Singapore. SA disks in SA consoles. If you can play you can play your regional copy in what ever ps3 you are using. I'd imagine you can get online no matter where you play. The game doesn't seem tO separate gamers by region. Ive played with people in the UK and Japan too I think.

Thanks! But does anyone know for sure? :C I'd hate to go out of my way to buy a $10 Online Pass then find out I couldn't play anyways.

Buying a US code is a waste as it will *not* work with your SG copy.

I think you need to register a Singapore PSN sub-account on your PS3. From there you can redeem your code and install the online pass. Then you can go back to your US account and play online normally with your SG copy. That's what a Japanese friend of mine did with his US disc.

^Thanks for confirming!
And that solution apparently won't work too. :C Other people have tried it, but their games wouldn't recognize the pass and would still prompt them for another one.

Ryusennin is correct.
Online passes, and DLC, in order to work must be downloaded from the the same regional store of the disc but they work for every user.

EDIT
If it doesn't work check the ID of your copy (the series of numbers and letters starting with BL) cause that's the key to everything.
If that ID is the same of the US edition then it can work on the US store; if it's the JP code than download it fom the Japanese store, and so on.
You can check the various IDs at Gamefaqs in the Release Data section of the PS3 version.
