I've always picked Garrus whenever possible - first Dossier from ME2 and brought him on all the loyalty missions. Brought him on all ME2+ME3 missions. Mainly because he's just such a bro.

Was wondering if people normally mix it up or if they have a constant squadmate (can change from game to game) that they always bring along (given that they're recruited/available/alive, etc.). You can even mention those from earlier games even if they're not squadmates in ME3.

ME1: None really
ME2: Garrus
ME3: Garrus

Edit: Seems like people are a big fan of Garrus lol. I don't mean to promote him, just something I've observed...

To elaborate; he feels like my wing man, my war buddy, my closest bro... His dialog is just snarky enough that it doesn't seem forced and he usually gives level headed dialog.

I used to bring Legion everywhere after I got him in ME2 in order to hear all the interaction.

I usually pick Kaidan when I can, because he's my LI. (Aside from ME 2, of course)

Otherwise I try to give everyone turns.

I mixed up my squad a lot in the second and third game, but I always had Garrus and Wrex in my group for the first. Mostly for the achievement, though.

Always, no since I like to get a variety. But quite often, probably at least half of the missions, I'll pick Garrus because he always seems to have the most humorous dialogue.

Well I did Javik for 90% of the game when I got him.

But I try to stick with one selection for each play through and then change next.

Like for ME2, a Cerberus Only team.

Kaidan! He is always on my team when he can be. In ME2 it was Garrus. ME1 Kaidan. ME3 because it takes so long to get Kaidan as a crew member I started enjoying taking different crew members along with me for the different perspectives in each mission so my second squad member I always rotate around just for fun.

The Squad is Garrus and Tali. The rest are just superfluous third nipples.

Samara got to tag along in Mass2, too.

Well i have pretty much a really really strict requeriments for each mission:

1) Have boobs (good ones not small and bad..oh wait there aint any bad on here).
2) Depending on how i feel i may mix them a bit just to see diff boobies or beyond..if u know what i mean.

So yeah not everyone makes it to be my companion.
