ME1: wrex and garrus. i killed off ashley and romanced liara solely on the fact that i couldnt play with wrex and ashley at the same time anyways since i was an adept, and i must unlock all those crates or my damn head will explode. i saved ashely only once, which is in fact my canon ME playthrough. actually i used garrus almost exclusively because hes the best techie available.

ME2: miranda and garrus. miranda was my filler in for hot brunette since i couldnt have ashley, and garrus replaced wrex as my bro. thane, jack, and grunt all interested me, and i really wish i could have had legion longer.

ME3: garrus and ashley. id use liara becasue shes got alot of story around her but i play an adept, and she steals my thunder. idc about tali or EDI, javik is too much of a ******. i try james a lil because i like fredy prinzs VA but im just not interested in newb squadmates replacing my old squadmates, especially when he should have been a krogan.

Liara for the obvious reason, but Kasumi has grown on me. I never used her outside of her loyalty mission before, but after reading up on the Shadow Strike mechanics, I decided to give her a try. She's broken in such a good way imo. Love her Rapid Shadow Strike and area Flashbang Grenade.

No not really it depends on the class i play i will have certain preferences
but i dont have a fixed group member or group , i use pretty much
all of the squadmates , some more then others but there all doing missions.

For ME1, it was Garrus/Ash. I picked Liara up late in the game, then it was Liara/Ash (hey, gotta bring the LI along, right?)

ME2, always had Garrus. Usually matched with Jack.

For ME3, back to switching up between Garrus/Ash, and Liara/Ash.

So, all things considered, between the three games, Garrus and Ash pretty much have equal squadmate time.

Romance and bromance... best of both worlds? :-)

Garrus obviously. I should mention that sniper rifle is one of the few weapons AI can do well with. Damn knuckle draggers.

The other choice is more than often Liara, 'cept in ME2 ofc.
